Permanent MDMA damage to a very young mind?

I'm 17 and I've been using MDMA for about a year now, and I've never experienced any negative effects lasting more than a month. This damage is probably not going to be permanent and is just irresponsible use and/or impure chemicals. Do psychological issues run in the family? People that have abnormal personalities get serious consequences for trying psychoactives.

Btw, does this friend of yours have a drug testing kit he can vouch with? I know plenty of dealers that guarantee their chemical cocktail is in fact, MDMA.

I can personally vouch that any time I have had MDMA off this dealer it has tested as MDMA, btw just to clear things up - I didn't get the MDMA for my cousin, it was his older friend. Also I didn't take any with him, I just tried to take care of him when he was in trouble.

As for psychological issues I cannot say with any certainty. The reason being that his mother married into our family when he was quite young, two or three years old, so he bares no blood relation to our family at all. I'm not aware of any psychological issues that may be present in his mothers or fathers family though.

Tell him to chill out on the weed, just sounds like a case of kid taking too much drugs. The anxiety is his bodies way of saying stop feeding me fkn drugs. ha

Just thought I'd update people. He went to hospital again this morning as he was having another paranoid episode and hand't slept for about 36 hours, I spent some time with him before he went to hospital and he seemed okay just a bit scared. He tried to get some sleep while I sat in the room and he got 5 minutes at most before he jumped out of his sleep. He ended up breaking down in tears and asked us to take him to the hospital, once there the medical team took some details and decided they needed to get a psychiatric rapid response team to see him. The rapid response team did some analysis and said that he is suffering from a chemical imbalance which was exacerbated, but not caused, by the large dose of MDMA and years of heavy cannabis abuse.

Things have now been stepped up and seem to be taken more seriously, I personally thought it wasn't given much urgency before. Now just waiting for the outcome of the proper psychiatric assessment which is taking place in the next couple of days.

No more drugs for this kid, ever.

He is at the age where substances can induce crippling mental illness that will haunt him for the rest of his life. Hopefully this is just a temporary episode but the writing is on the wall. I hope the best for him.

EDIT: His friend who took the MD with him said he can guarantee it was MDMA, also he had no episode but he is about 5 years older and has done it a number of times. They took around the same quantity.

That is so irresponsible of his friend. Like seriously that is potentially lethal, he should have kept his dose between 120mg for a first time, maybe 180mg if he's like 6 foot and weighs 100kg and has a tolerance to mephedrone and cocaine.. regardless; his serotonin receptors copped a massive belting and will need at least a month to recover onto a decent level.

If he spends the next month exercising, meditating, eating well and staying happy with positive influences he could really turn around and make a comeback, the brain works in mysterious ways but it does repair a lot after time without adulterants.

Wish your friend luck on the road to recovery!

He went to see a psychiatrist yesterday who concluded it is anxiety disorder with a slight chemical imbalance, he believes given a bit of time and care the imbalance will re-balance itself. He has given some techniques for my cousin to control the anxiety in the short term and will discuss things going forward next week when he has his second appointment.

I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who has responded on here, it really is very much appreciated.
