drugs damage on the brain- summary

The part i agree with OP on is MDMA. There are too many ravers who think, o i have pure MDMA it is practically harmless. And they frown up on someone using meth as if it is causing 10x as much damage. WRONG, MDMA in my experience is the more detrimental chemical to the brain. I noticed recovery from meth at insanely fast rates, even pulling all nighters. MDMA how ever... was a slow dragging process with many long term effects. Out of the main stream drugs we know about (not the thousands of weird RC's) i would rate MDMA as the most brain damaging chemical. There really isn't anything that can cause so many abnormalities in your brain as fast as MDMA. I noticed huge issues with my self after that first night of dosing it.

I think you might have that backwards.

Neurotoxcicity is a well-documented effect of meth itself.

MDMA, on the other hand, isn't thought to directly cause cell death. The neurotoxicity associated with heavy MDMA use is most likely the result of oxidative stress resulting from increased body temp, dehydration, etc.

He doesn't. MDMA is far more neurotoxic than methamphetamine. The general rule, or at least what I gather, is, the more the serotonergic activity of the amphetamine, the more neurotoxic it is.

Dopamine is much more resilient than serotonin. The problem with meth is the addiction potential where as MDMA is much easier to just space out, how ever dose for dose MDMA is the more neurotoxic substance all around.

No...every drug listed has potential to rapidly improve depression

Who knows what they're doing?

I change my brain chemistry by eating lunch

QFT. Drugs are going to affect everyone differently you can't tell which ones are gonna hurt which people more or less
