The Aftermath - What can I do to help myself / aid the recovery process?

Think I'm posting this in the right place, move it if not, cheers.

Right, so I've just been on a 2 week drug binge (with a little break in the middle). I've been to Ibiza and a couple of festivals in the last 14 days. Spent up of £1000 and consumed quite a lot of MDMA, Ketamine, Cocaine and Marijuana.

I've been recovering for the last 3 days, but I'm still suffering from tiredness/fatigue, I keep having sudden occurrences of light headedness where I'll feel like I'm about to faint (my legs go like jelly and I can feel my heart beats pumping), this is sometimes accompanied by a very intense buzzing sound in my ears (this is happening more frequently at night). The buzzing sound tends to increase in intensity and then when it reaches it's most intense point - the intensity oscillates (fades away and then back, until it fades away completely). I also keep getting head rushes when I stand up too quickly and find it difficult to reamin focused on a task at hand. I'm also feeling pretty down and depressed. I'm back at home now, but it feels very distant and dark where as it's usually very comforting to come home. I'd probably put this down to the lack of serotonin after all the MDMA.

I'm just wondering how long you'll think it'll take me to recover fully? I've started to look for a job now that I've finished my year at University, but I don't feel like I'm in any state at the moment to start work. Is there anything I can do to aid in the recovery process? I've been staying in bed all day everyday for the last 3 days, I've been getting plenty of sleep, but I think I might be oversleeping..?

Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Cheers, GrandMasterFrillz

Hey GrandMaster,

Nothing you mention sounds overly worrying after 14 days of partying. Oversleeping causes you to feel more tired, because you're not in a circadian sleep cycle. It also adds to depression, which may be why you're feeling out of sorts at home.

Feeling light headed after spending a few days in bed is pretty normal and so are the head rushes when standing up, how have your eating patterns been for the last 3-ish weeks? Lack of food, sleep and over indulgence in drugs aren't good for your body (;))

Thanks for the response Re-distributed!

Eating patterns have been changing quite frequently over the last couple of weeks (some days without food completely). I've been eating mainly junk food without any real nutritious meals until pretty recently.

Since I started recovering, I've been eating fairly well and have been in a kind of decent routine (as far as food is concerned). I'm going to try and sort out my sleeping routine today, I plan to go to bed around 11/12 and to try and get up at 8/9.

I was thinking of picking up some 5-HTP and some Magnesium Body Lotion (as recommended to me by a hippie friend) tomorrow. He also suggested to consume foods with lot's of saturated fats.

I'm not really too worried about my symtoms (as I've felt like this once before), I was just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions (similar to ones above) since I'd like to try and recover as quickly as possible and get back to work.
