Pharma opiates are huge over there, that's where I lost my opiate virginity while I was working in Manhattan between 2010 and 2011, before that I had never met anyone who had done any pharmas like that, only opiate user I knew was the guy I used to buy ket and MD in London and he was a smacky and that's all. In NY I've met very attractive girls in their late twenties/mid-thirties wih very good career jobs railing lines of crushed up oxy at parties, it's totally socially acceptable, seriously met so many people doing it.
Very easy to find too, more so than a lot of other things. The crazy thing is how often you meet people who are either on it or have just spent thousands in rehab treatments to come off it.
As you said the rehab business is huge there. Inevitably ended up doing oxy daily for over three months while I was there, then managed to quit and revert back to my usual kilos of kratom every week, cheaper and with how silly fast oxy tolerance builds up I actually get more off daily kratom, I'd need to do hundreds of mgs of oxy to catch a buzz after time of daily use and couldn't afford that even I'd remortgaged the house.
