Ecstasy As A Cure for Depression!

MDMA personally changed my life, I now have permanently lowed inhibitions, I'm more empathic even when not rolling, and I am more open to everybody. I've also noticed that I just overall feel better than when I wasn't rolling. Before my first roll I had a degree of depression and nothing snapped me out of it better than good ol' MDMA.

Well not if its as JWills20 says. Then there would be no treatment with the drug but instead an experience would be an indicator of the possible growth potential and treatment might be of an alternative or internal nature free of SRI drugs. If i understood correctly...

I would rather take an SSRI than MDMA for depression any day of the week. Its too unpredictable for my liking.

Not sure if I like the sound of permanently lowed inhibitions. If you think it has cured your depression then thats great but far too risky in my opinion. There is also loads of evidence to prove that it infact causes long term depression so certainly something to be aware of.

Same here. Experiencing the concepts of pure unconditional unselfish love as with the MDMA experience shows you the value in the idea of improving yourself towards that goal and increasing these positive emotions in your life and working on purifying your character. MDMA showed me that helping others or offering something without expecting something in return was more rewarding by far then striving only personal selfish gain.

I still believe its the only drug experience that every human should feel at least once in their lives. Its not a feeling that can ever be gained naturally or normally. It shows the possibilities of human goodness. It can be liberating should you be open to it.

Indeed, I've always shared the opinion that, perhaps, the world would be a better place if everyone tried MDMA just once.

@Futura. I don't believe MDMA is unpredictable rather the drugs market from which it is sold in is unpredictable. As a result, the publically shared opinion of 'Ecstasy' is wide-reaching and varied, even amongst users. I also don't think one time of just pure, unaldulterated MDMA consumption at a reasonable dose would have a realistic chance of causing long-term depression, even in people that classify as 'clinically' depressed.

Very dangerous ideas being tossed around here. The best use without negative side effects would be professional therapy sessions of no more than a few times a year IMO.

The safe application would be one MDMA session to understand its virtues and no more. That should never cause issues in of itself for a new initiate.

The person would then need to meditate (think on at length) on the experience build the qualities into their own life to facilitate any type of healing. It would take work from the subject.
