Apparently, many vendors of Etilaam brand Etizolam are having large consignments siezed & possibly destroyed by UK customs . The last I heard & understood, this product was uncontrolled & unscheduled, why are customs now siezing it?

And does this bode badly for the future of Etizolam sales in the UK? Is this perhaps the first step towards schedluling the drug? Or do you think some genuine UK pharmacuetical manufacturer is just protecting their soon-to-be-released new medication?

maybe unrelated but I had to pay a customs fee for (legal) pharms imported from outside the EU the other day. Was still cheap.

Latter always a distinct possibility with new pseudo/benzos apparently shortly to be unleashed. Lotta money needing covering preumably. Although why pretend imports of such an incredibly popular product are being seized when they aren't (if they aren't) still seems somewhat unlikely to me. Lotta chance of losing a lotta custom if they do :\

Perhaps it's iffier importing vast quantities of obvious pharmaceuticals even if not strictly illegal now it's so scarily popular? Vendors supplying less legit-looking pellets by the sackload appear to be unaffected so far. Or more able to fake anonymous lil blue pills than branded pharmacueticals?

Bad news anyway cos gonna be plenty people in plenty states if supply is just dropped dead :\

It's pretty hard to claim not for human consumption when you have truck loads of pills all blister packed and in pharma boxes with dosage instructions. Is it only affecting branded Etiz and not 'pellets' and powder?

That does make sense to me actually, Ponch. Has been debated previously too. Always seemed rather odd to be able to sell large quantities of questionable stuff like actual pharmacuticals. Can't imagine that goes down so well with pharmacuetical companies... Although what will inevitibly happen if/when etiz is banned outright will certainly help 'em out :|

Powder (presumably also the way it's imported for "pellets" to be pivately pressed within the UK even if not sold in powder form by some vendors) doesn't appear to be affected from a quick Google.

It's illegal to import pharmaceutical products that are unlicensed, the medical sector is one of the most tightly regulated. As long as it's random powders or "pellets" sold as plant food, industrial cleaners whatever, that's one thing, but blistered pharmas like Ponch said, it's a whole different thing.

intas are working with customs and all imports are being seized and destroyed. one of the big players is paying to have vendors sites hacked too. the only etzi thats still doing the rounds are dark blue unblistered ones.

Crisis hahaha .

Is it really a Crisis like on what level .

Like Hurricane Katrina or Black Wednesday ? I nearly said Blue Monday :)

crisis level -just hot rocked your dealers new carpet and the room stinks of burnt wool and he is walking back into the room.... -but lucky enough his nose is so blocked with coke he cant smell his lovely new rug burning away.

Fuck! Since when? I had a mail off my usual (very trusted) supplier of Etilaam just the other day saying they had plenty in stock..

Bollocks!

But you know, we've seen new Benzo's appearing recently. Makes you wonder if some of the folk higher up the chain somehow knew this was coming & started working on alternatives. Eti is not something I have all the time but it has been handy knowing it was about & reliable, I'm not sure anything I've read about the new Benzo's impresses me as much as Etizolam does.

Well, given the level of use amongst many users it's gonna be a bit of a nightmare if they can't find a replacement in time. There's people with little or no experience of benzos or dependency before etiz came on the scene who are taking the equivalent of a metric fucktonne of diazepam a day. If that disappears with little or no warning (even if they knew to taper, even if they can in time) it's not good for them, their friends and family, their employers (if employed,) the NHS... Crisis is a strong word but potential for at least a minor shitstorm for some.

There's lots of EU-made generics around (taste like gravlax, so while good, subbing is gruesome). A few select vendors still have Etilaam. Either way, this will be hit in the next round of legal BS.

There's always something on the horizon to replace them ;)

for the first time customs opened one of my packages last week. they kept the 2 totally legit and legal pharms and let the grey area ish one through (i dont think they saw them hidden in the letter fold - neither did i at first)

aint gonna laugh too loud or they'll get me next time.

im going to be consuming these a lot less now so i expect to have some that would be past their 'expiry' date in the future, any ideas of what exactly that means? i wouldnt just expect them to stop working by said date?

I think the biggest concern for a Pharmacuetical company is that their product should fail to work, meaning perhaps that a person might move to another product, so they tend to overestimate the expiry date by at least a couple of years. In some cases it may actually be another 5 years before the product even begins to degrade & that process, obviously dependent on storage methods & the particular compound concerned could still take some time.

Then again, perhaps like many compounds & many pharmacueticals, they don't degrade at all under optimal storage & the use-by dates are simply so that you refresh your supplies regularly, keeping them nicely in profit.

So, any you guys got some serious fucking money? BUY BUY BUY! NOW! Lol

Spoke to my UK vendor this morning, who imports the intas. He says the import issue has been ongoing for months and wouldn't be surprised if the ACMD were asked to address it at some point. If there is an import problem, there are always the generics widely available in the UK and the powders from EU, unless new legislation is passed.
I aint worried :)
