Benzos I have a friend whos never taken a benzo in his life

And I said that we could get fucked up on them (before knowing that hes never done them)
And I'm telling him he will black out if he takes a high amount of ANYTHING and he doesn't believe it will happen to him, he thinks he's invincible. I told him I'll give him the strongest amount I'm comfortable with (10mg val)
and hes literally acting liek i dont trust him
I don't trust benzos


Someone help me convince him that black outs are shit and they will happen if youre a newb and you take too much

I let him know to thread lightly on this subject because i can and will get pissed off
hes not God and I wish he'd stop pretending he knows what he can and cant handle.

10mg of valium won't put him in any danger. If it's his first time taking it he will probably just get a bit drowsy and probably fall asleep.
 
yeah shit 10mg of valium will make your friend sleepy at best. If i were your friend i'd be like wtf am i going to do with 10mg of valium?

it's almost impossible to OD on valium and i've never even come close to blacking out on it even at high doses. I'd say 20mg of valium and a joint is more healthy than a beer and a joint.
 
Sedation and memory loss are very common effects of benzos. If he doesn't believe you then I'd tell him too bad and that you won't give him a higher dose, he doesn't sound like a very responsible drug user if he won't take your precautions seriously. If you want stories to tell him, I remember I once had a day where the last thing I remember is taking what the people I was with thought was a "low" dose and the next thing I remember it's hours later and I'm on the other side of town with my mom, being made to "walk it off" - no idea how I got there, how she found me, what happened while I was blacked out. It's scary. I don't know why your friend thinks it won't happen to him when he's never even tried benzos before. I don't think you should just give him some Ambien to "teach him a lesson" though. Honestly, maybe you shouldn't be introducing people to benzos at all... :(

Also make SURE he hasn't taken any other drugs like opioids or alcohol. It may be difficult (but not impossible) to die from benzos alone but it's very easy to endanger one's life when mixing benzos with other CNS depressants.

RobotRipping - We're all so different. But are you saying 10mg did little to you when you had never taken a benzo before? Even if that is the case that doesn't mean it will be the same for the OP's friend or that he shouldn't go slow his first time. Passing out or blacking out would at least be a waste anyway, even if he was in a safe situation.

Well said Swimmingdancer, just so everyone knows Overdose symptoms may include extreme drowsiness, loss of balance or coordination, limp or weak muscles, or fainting. And there are other signs and results including going into a coma and you can stop breathing full stop. Benzo's arent to be messed with! Ive lost friends due to benzo overdose. (Even if it may be a low dose)
 
6mg of Klonipin would calm his ass down. Some people have no idea how to use responsibly. I friend of mine has to constantly mix Xanax with hard alcohol to prove she's a badass or something. She ends up passing out and can't remember anything the next day. It's stupid and defeats the point of using.

I don't understand what kind of friend would act like such a jerk when you're offering to get him altered for free.

he somehow got ahold of 10mg of Klonopin (probably more than that) and mixed it with booze.
I can't find his address and he woke me up at 6am to slur a bunch of shit to me. tbh i wouldn't be surprised if hes on heroin or was on it earlier. I called 911 but I didn't have enough information, and they can't track cricket numbers I guess

He literally told me to stick any pill in his mouth cause that's how much he trusts me (but it had to be a benzo), and i was like no thats dumb. Ambien would make him fall pretty fast which is what the benzos do anyways, the high he wants is not the "high" benzos give you. and I agree. I took 8mg of Klonopin without booze (I am not new to them either) I ended up asking my new boyfriend to shoot me up with the meth and needle he just used. (he said he was tempted, but didnt want me to get addicted to it) There's worse parts to this story even but i dont remember

There are countless stories of people doing things that go like this.
1. Someone does benzos and either likes the sedative effect or doesn't feel very much
2. They increase the dose
3. They regain conciousness either doing something dumb, like climbing trees to shout racial epithets at passersby, or in jail.

Benzos are just not good drugs to abuse.
 
How about this for a horror story. I took 2mg of xanax and 50mg of valium (wasn't new to benzos or any drug for that matter) and left my girlfriends house after a fight at 6am. Last thing I remember is stopping at a Race Trac for gas at about 7:30 AM on my way home. I woke up the next day in the hospital with a catheter and a tube down my throat with my parents, girlfriend, and her mom standing over me. I had no idea what had happened. I was living in a transitional house at the time and was found on the bathroom floor with my pants around my ankles, the shower running, and the toilet seat ripped off the toilet. I was apparently suppose to meet my mom for lunch at 12:30 and had talked to her at 11:00am and made these plans. Which of course I have no recollection of. She said I told her I was about to hop in the shower. Which explains why I was trying to take off my pants. Only conclusion I have is that I was trying to use the toilet to pull myself off the ground and ripped the toilet seat off trying to get up. The owner of the transitional house found me on the floor not breathing and blue and called EMS.

I was very lucky as the hospital was only a mile from the transitional house. I was DOA at the hospital. I was revived and when my mom got there she was told they were unsure if I was going to make it and if I did there was a good possibly of permanent brain damage.

Anyways they found not only the alprazolam and diazepam in my system but also hydrocodone, methadone, amphetamine, and heroin in my system. I have NO memory of doing any of those except for the benzos. Also, I'd have to go to all different parts of town to get those drugs. Different dealers. I did all of that in a black out. I'm lucky I didn't kill anyone else or myself in a car accident. I can only imagine how horrible my driving abilities were.

I got lucky that I had no brain damage and walked out of the hospital 6 days later. The only permanent damage I have from that OD is hearing damage in my left ear, because I was found on my right side and blood had drained away from the nerves. When I woke up I could barely move my left leg and arm and couldn't make a fist or wiggle my toes. I am SO lucky that those came back to me and I didn't have to have any amputations.

This was January 13, 2010. And of course after all that I still use drugs and was using the day I got out of the hospital.


Tell your friend that story. If that doesn't convince him that benzos are not to be fooled with then I don't know what will.
 
Though I think everyone should have the right to use whatever drug they want I don't think that means that I should supply them. If he doesn't want to exercise caution with benzos then dont give him any at all. Benzos are dangerous drugs for the "invincible.

No ambien either it can have some nasty side effects for some people (makes me borderline psychotic!).

I hope you and your friend are ok and that this can be a learning experience. Glad your boyfriend didn't let you use his used needle!
 
Well Downers + downers = never a good idea

Like seriously, he totally just ruined our friendship.
not because of the fact that he made promises he broke (like, not doing benzos and drinking) but because of the names and whatnot he chose to call me after he woke ME up at 6am not even coherent.
Sadly I didnt know his exact address and the cops couldn't track him down using his cell phone because its a Cricket phone (i fucking hate everything about this cell phone company)
im assuming hes lied about never doing benzos before and just wanted free drugs from me
whatever dude, the thing about this that pisses me off the most is calling me at 6am only to call me names and tell me that he took a "shiitload" of Klonopin and drank (an unknown amount, but hes known to drink half gallons to himself)
and once I called 9-1-1 he start spazzing out on me saying that he'd call CPS and make stuff up (i couldn't understand him at this point, I doubt the popo/cps could)

and nope i didn't give him anything, i havent even seen him for like over a month


also when i had a horribly suicidal/shaky/freaky reaction to wellbutrin xl i got 10mg of valium in the e.r and BAM i felt way better. so 10mg can do a lot

Maybe now he'll apologize for not taking your advice and treating you like a dick. Now he knows first-hand how powerful benzos really are.
