GBL Megathread 5: Germans do it better

how much does regular gbl use damaged one's healh? and what organ is affected the most? kidneys? livers? stomach? teeth/gums? have people who have been using 24/7 developed any particular healh issues?

should i be concerned, if i use 2ml per week and occassionally (once per monh) 6ml during party? thanks.

(i am totally useless in kitchen so making ghb is not an option for me).

There do not appear to be any chronic toxicity concerns from GBL, especially at moderate levels like you mention. I used weekly for a while though and it did seem to lose some of the magic. I also didn't find it nearly as effective for sleeping as I initially did.

Only adverse health impacts I ever noticed from heavy 24/7 use were that it seemed to rape me of B vitamins. Dunno if that's spurious anecdotal talk but I definitely did notice a few symptoms of chronic B vit depletion (somewhat similar to heavy alcohol abuse) that cleared up nicely when I took supplements. That aside, it's really only getting into habitual use that's a worry in my opinion. Summat to watch out for for those with history of GABA-basher abuse. Is damnably seductive and easy to slip into 24/7 dosing if you don't watch out.

Yeah, what you're saying sounds about right. I'd like to see a source on the B vitamins, however. It's not booze. :)

G is probably the most benign drug you can take, unless you OD. It's not been shown to be toxic to any organ (just like naturally occurring GHB). Naturally occurring GHB is a stimulant, but when you take a larger dose, it starts hitting GABA-b receptors. Technically, that could mean that you age SLIGHTLY slower, as you're reversing the effects of endogenous GHB, if you get me... GHB was touted as something good for age. Then again, it was also sold as non-addictive...

Thanks everybody for sharing their experience and advice about vitamin B. I think it will make my 2ml per week more enjoyable, without worrying about my internal organs being eaten by gbl (yeah, some of my friends need to shut up about stuff they dont know shit about ;) )

You're only taking 2mls a week?! Christ, you can do that for the rest of your life. Enjoy! Just don't let it creep into midweek, or more. :)

I read a paper on GBL effects on mice (or maybe it was rats) the results of which were that female rodents who were given regular doses (and heavy doses at that, from memory) of it lived up to twice as long as those that didn't. Male rodents only lived slightly longer when dosed up than when not. Basically, heavy/habitual GBL use makes you immortal. Possibly ;)

Is GBL broken down by heat? I often have 1-1.5ml in the morning if I've had a heavy night the night before, just to take the edge off a hangover or comedown. Usually I drop it into a glass of orange juice or something, but this morning I was drinking coffee and stuck it in there instead, and it had barely no effect. Did the heat of the coffee destroy the GBL, or is my tolerance on the up?

Tolerance. Temperatures below 100*C will have no effect on GBL at all. Even beyond that it's very stable.

What symptoms do you mean? Any particular B vitamin or a suppelment of all of them?

I have a pretty serious GBL habit these days and am interested in any HR advice (anecdotal is fine!).

Since I'm not currently suffering any adverse physical effects (or mental come to that. The problem is that I function much better with G habit than without one) I'll likely avoid loading up on vitamins as it'll probably do more harm than good, but it'd be good to know what sort of thing to look out for.

Thanks,
Immortal female rat

Mostly "kicky legs" (RLS kinda stuffs) somewhat similar to opi-w/d for me only constant. That plus generally feeling rundown and bleeerugh. Anecdotally, take a vit B and/or multivit supplement and you'll feel better dosing GBL 24/7. Imo, ime, etc, etc.

Good luck with that immortality, rodent gal =D<3

Same. I take B1, B6, B12 and choline/inositol. Helps with brain fog and forgetfulness. Andrews salts (magnesium) helps with RLS.

You could look into L-Theanine as well, it's good for yer GABA.

Long term i'd worry about mood problems/instability, and a severely distorted 'pleasure center', even moreso than with most other short-acting drugs. Dopamine as well as GABA are fluctuating wildly. The cognitive impairment can be severe and this is usually hard to notice for all the confident energy and euphoria.

More physiologically speaking, I'm not so sure.. When i was heavily into G for a long period, I'd have quite sudden & severe shifts in blood pressure and heart rate whenever a dose wore off. As well as the twitchy sensations similar to what Shambles described, but those came quite late into my 24/7 habit. Sleep was weird and short, altho the first dose of GHB usually fenced off tiredness and during the day I didn't feel like I was lacking sleep so much. Dodgy business dosing it 24/7 long-term, at times I thought it was sustainable, but AFAIK for me it isn't.

Have you done it before?

Make sure it is well diluted. It will probably hit before you get the syringe out but that's not an unreasonable dose

No, never done it before. Yeah, I would dilute it with 4ml water. Is that enough? I also found a 10ml syringe (that fits!) so I could dilute it with 9ml water. Good, I like drugs that hit before I've finished taking them =D

Yeah I've never plugged it before, it's so effective orally I wouldn't want to take the risk. More dilution is definitely better from a health point of view but it's obviously more to "retain" too.
