Shoulda paid up then the lazy twat. If he values his XBOX more than his mobility then who are we to question the Saudi justice system?

Ya. The limb-chopping is almost "acceptable" compared to the state deliberately paralysing somebody unless they can cough up $250,000 compensation to the victim. I know they go in for all that "eye for an eye" stuff inna big way but... paralysis? Really? Have never heard of this particular punishment before. Case has been going on for a long time so may well be a new low for 'em :\

It may sound barbaric but limb chopping is actually common place -so is beheading, public shooting / execution (was a few guys shot two weeks ago for robbing a shop). The 250k story is as far as I know true ! It's a strange law - it can literally be translated as 'eye for an eye' but if the family of the deceased / injured wishes then the offending person can just rot in prison. I have traveled around the Middle East for the last 5 or 6 years and public executions etc are not that uncommon - some of the more religious states follow 'Sharia' law (Koranic). So being stoned to death, being shot, having your arms chopped off etc is fairly routine.

Routine yes. Totally unaccaptable too :\

I gather it's the family in this particular case demanding money with menaces and getting away with it. Justice by any other name...

I would imagine if half the families around the world had the chance they would ask for 'eye for eye' also? How many time's do we say - put them in a room with the relatives etc. Any 'robbery' is dealt with really harshly, if a weapon is used its an automatic death sentence by the state - murder is left to the family of the deceased -kill the offender or prison/financial compensation etc.

Mind you on the flip side, so is suggested adultery, suggested witchcraft, suspected homosexuality etc - the laws change region to region and so does the severity of how they are handled.

Tis a strange system !

I actually thought he just looked like a little square .

You win brimzs man hahaha, by the way, what part of Bath are you from, or would you rather PM me?. I fucking miss that place!

Thanks very much, I love a smile! =D Do you mind me asking where in the east mids you are? I'm curious, I feel like us east midlanders are underrepresented :p

Really MM? Ouch. At least it's not nuneaton aye? Leicester's nights out are... thin and far between on the quality front I'm afraid :/

BACK TO THE THREAD! Moar pics of people I've lurked all this time! (Not personally off course, that'd be a bit creepy, I mean from general EADDerz)

oh fuckin hell not Nuneaton or Bed'orth, jesus.

(I only really had a couple of nights out in Leicester, at Street Life, lol, dunno if that place is still going)

Can't say it's ringing any bells! :/ Superfly was OK during the meph phase, probably a bit over-dubstepped, but a good atmosphere. Apart from that, it's pretty much a train to Sheff, Brum or Notts

Sad state of affairs

lol, Street Life was big on the gay scene in late 80's, you might not have been born...=D Was a kind of massive tacky theme pub done out inside like a kind os Victorian Shopping street with seperate little "shopfronts" and other tacky shit...

Also had the advantage of passing one of the West Mids most famous cottaging spots on the way back to Cov.

Well I'd probably have been about 1/2 years old hahaha, not the sort of thing I'd notice at that age! :/ I'll have to ask my supervisor, Leicester lad, of the right age, gay, see what he says!

Well, depending on your personal prefrence, passing that spot might not be too bad! :p :sus:
