Incidentally, GSBE are actually a Canadian (I think) "post-rock" band named after a classic Japanese documentary about Tokyo biker gangs (which is well worth a watch too) whilst Mono are a Japanese band who sound like a North American "post-rock" band. Whoulda think it, eh?

Ok mate I'll be honest as I believe you'll appreciate that more than me going 'wow amazing' and not meaning it.

The first one works and sounds nice. For the first half I couldn't tell two separate tunes were playing until one of the tracks broke down. Yeah liked that one didn't think those two artists would go together but they did.

Second one is a mess mate. Sounds out of tune and dissonant. Sorry mate just being honest.

Ha yeah, that's great. Love how the beats work. Can't tell where the vocal is from and where the beat come from. Sounds a little out in places but I think that is down to the off beat snaps in one of the tunes. Maybe needs tightening up a little sounds like it is slipping later into the track. But yeah enjoyed that. Loved the beat.

I used to email him all the time. He always responded with long thoughtful emails. I was shocked he even bothered. I'll en-devour not to meet him then if that is the case. Fallen idols and all that.

Can't find an image of his smiley guitar. He paid £3000 for it and before he even had a chance to play it at a gig his hotel room burnt down with the guitar inside. In fact he plays it in this video on the back of the truck:
