No, I started writing it like last june/july.

Oh, I just remember you giving a general overview of it. Didn't realize you finished it. How long was it and did they reject you with a form letter? Weren't you saying your aunt or somebody got some publishing company to look at it or were you just blindly sending it out?

Yeah, I finished it about a month ago although it could probably do with some more editing. It's about 300 pages and no wasn't a form letter, they explained specifically why they rejected it and stuff.
No basically a friend knows someone who works at this big publishing company and mentioned my novel to her. I ended up meeting with her, she read a few extracts and said she'd like to see the whole thing when it was finished so I sent it off. Haven't tried any other publishing companies yet, I think I'm going to work on it a bit more before I try sending it out more generally.

Yeah...well it takes a lot of dedication I didn't think I had tbh. You just gotta force yourself to sit down and write for a bit every day. As far as I can tell if you only do it when you feel like it it never works out
Although I suppose I've only done the easy part so far anyway, hah.
