Benzo Discussion v4

I've heard that some of the triangles are nothing like the proper batch.

I had a few a while back, very small but very potent, definitely the real deal a half was enough to feel quite a kick.

Dont try to take mirtazapine in the same way you would a benzo for coming down from stimulants eg mdma, speed or dissociatives and psychedelics.
Its reputedly good for sleep but its an anti-depressant acting in a completely different way to benzos and could be dangerous mixed.
Do a bit of research on how much and what kind of serotonin transmitters it hits when you've got your science head on.

yeah i know ssri's should not be taken with serotonin releasing drugs so il only use it for sleep when i havnt been on the stims or psychs. the worrying thing is the person who gave me them takes benzos as if they are sweets and doesnt have a clue about half lifes etc. he also takes pills every weekend and is likely to take a mirtazapine to get to sleep. i told him the risks of doing this and he said he wont be taking them again but somehow i dont believe him :/
 
Mitrazapine is a Tetracyclic antidepressant, I was prescribed it at some stage manly as an AD but also to try and help me sleep.

Didn't get on with it at all, it made me feel like I was always on the edge of coming up on acid and not in a nice way.

I doubt you'll really get a good effect from it taking it every now and again, this and Amiltryptamine can help with sleep but they aren't going to be very effective at dealing with stim comedown.

Messing with this stuff as a downer could lead to some nasty side effects, IME ADs often produce side effects in the first 2 weeks which can fade and lead to an acceptable response.

Why don't you just take a dose of Valium or an Etiz, I'm not encouraging you to use Benzos and such but they would work better for what you are using the ADs for. I don't take anything for coming down from speed (which is all I do these days pretty much) I'm not really a subscriber to dropping loads of Benzos at the end of a Stim session, for me it would lead to disaster using one drug to facilitate another.

That c10 valium lab is obviously putting out weak batches now I'd say. We bought 50 and between us they're either missing or done already. 5 of them felt like 15mg if I had to guess.

They do certainly relieve muscle tension though, I've felt better ever since. Even had a gram of mkat between a few of us last night in a few clubs and was home by 3-4am, no hangover or comedown.

Felt alright to me. Made me sleep and eat far too much, but all drugs still worked. MDMA, G, speed, psyches... Jumped off at 45mg, after about 8+ months on it, and didn't even notice. Obviously different for others.
 
Mitrazapine? Yeah I take that, lot lower doses than you though. Only 15mg. But I was given it when my olanzapine perscription was reduced and I was missing the light out till morning without any sort of idea time has passed sleep I had gotten used to with the higher dose of olanzapine I was on. I was told by the doctor to be prepared to experience a few days of being knocked out as you become accustomed to it. Oh goody I thought. I like it when life shuts off for periods of time and leaves me alone and annoys some other poor fucker for a bleeding change. Never happened. Not even close to olanzapine. Now I had one of my first benzo experiences after a long stim session that really just refused to switch itself off. 2-dpmp I think that led to me being prescribed olanzapine for the first time. I went into the doctor and said, mate I'm fucked on stims and haven't slept for ages and I'm seeing shit and hearing some fucked up shit and it's got out of my control. Also my missus said if I didn't go to the docs right there and then, then we were over, so I went and told him the whole truth. He said, what do you need? I said sleep mate. I may not have refered to him as mate I forget. He said I'll give you something to help you sleep, wrote me a prescription for temazapam and pointed towards the door. I was skeptical, well after knecking a few, like I said I was skeptical, I didn't think anything could break through a stim, I was woken up by my missus, a few days had passed and I still couldn't walk or stay awake for ages afterwards. I don't know if any of the temaz stuff or the fact that I had been on a steadily decreasing dose of olanzapine for such a long time had anything to do with mirtazapine not being an effective sedative or sleep aid or not but for me completely ineffective in that area.
 
What's everybodys sort've wait time on the likes of driving when using benzos with a long half-life, e.g. Clonazepam/Diazepam? Unfortunately Xanax is rare around here and these are the most available. But I find while they are excellent for getting a good nights sleep and curing a comedown they often eat into my day/schedule at times without me noticing and also with me noticing. Love a good after glow when I've no anxiety and feel happy and confident to talk to anyone, but at the same time don't like driving when I'm uncontrollably swerving. I've started dosing less to help stop this as I use to just go for a full knock out rather than drift off, but would be interested especially for those on daily use, prescribed or recreational.
 
I'm gonna try to get off heroin/coke with codeine and benzos in the next few weeks - I know the longer half-life benzos are usually better for that but I've only got access to temazepam and alprazolam, I'm guessing the temazepam is probably a better idea but would like to get second opinions? :)
 
Longer-acting benzos would definitely be a better option, Pagey. But as long as it's a relatively brief taper you should be okay with short-acting ones. Just need to take 'em more often. Temaz and alpraz are great for sleeping which would be a godsend during w/d if it were feasible. May be feasible if you don't have much of a benzo tolerance. Alpraz in particular is great for anxiety too which may help with some of the mental/emotional w/d shite.

Codeine/benzo tapers are definitely doable. Have done just that with codeine and temaz before. Although probably had some diaz knocking about too... Good luck <3

Also, speaking of mirtazapine up there, that was the only meds other than paracetamol I was allowed in inpatient detox. One of those orange-flavour sublingual tabs at night. Dunno what dosage they are. Did help sleep for the first few days but did shit all other than make me slightly calmer with a touch of delirium during the latter days. Although was probably less delirious than before taking them so probably did help a bit. Can't imagine they'd be much cop recreationally though.

Sounds entirely sensible, your local drug would do similar but probably longer and less of the codeine and benzos! How long you gonna give yourself?
 
Just found a swiss army knife I used to dab into my etizolam bag, quite a bit of powder came off when I opened the blade and hit the knife on a cd case, I just love powder etiz, there must be a few pills worth at least, gonna have an early night tonight. Sleepy times ahead

Yup, unfortunately I don't have a connec for benzos, I get temazepam/alprazolam prescriptions, so can't really get any better ones.. I haven't been using them and have been saving up for a while so that I'll have as much as I need to help me through WDs so it should be okay. I've got a massive benzo tolerance - got up to 12mg alpraz/day last year - but I barely ever use them anymore so yeah. Trying to be positive!
I've got lots of doxylamine (great sleeping pill/codeine potentiator) as well that should help.

Kay good :) I think I'd like to be entirely clean by...mid/end march. I haven't done coke in a couple days and I've gone back from IV'ing the heroin to snorting it so there's some improvement there, I'm gonna lower my doses over the next few days, switch to codeine by the end of the week (probably around 700mg-ish) & benzos, and then just progressively lower those doses in the next week or two. And hopefully it'll go well!
 
dont know if its the subutex (2 weeks now), but im suffering, i think its all the downers now.

They're like crutches, or short-cuts but with a bite in the ass.:o
