Nootropics (piracetam etc) - mega merged

1st day - 800mgs of Piracetam, 750mgs Aniracetam.
First experiment with Nootropics - will probably keep going until the tubs are empty and see.
Feeling typically skeptical though, history is full of snake oil & dumb, human hopefulness.

Well said, Morkin. I think I'm one of those dumb, human hopefuls! lol

Never messed w/ piracetam. But I'm willing to try. Notice anything at this point yet?

Well it takes some time for most Morkin, I didn't really notice any improvements for about 2 to almost 3 weeks into taking Piracetam. Just be patient and keep supplementing and in time it will begin to show it's effectiveness.

Are you taking any kind of choline? Or are you just taking the Piracetam, and Aniracetam?

Damn, I'm just wondering why I haven't found out about this substance or browsed through this thread before (or any in Healthy Living haha)?!

I'm going to try this out as well. Maybe take on a similar regime to Morkin's: Piracetam & Aniracetam - 1.6g daily (then gradually work up to 2g) with attack doses once a month or something. Along with ALCAR/ALAR combo and Omega-3s. Or what are some better Cholinergics ie a-GPC, huperzine A and other nootropics to stack with? I'm thinking green tea (how well does extracts work?) and vinpocetine

sorry bear with me, this is all very new to me, never dabbed into "smart drugs" before.

i had nice fat "scoop" of piracetam this morning before Uni. Usually i measure out a G. Neurones firing, brain chemicals flowing and i am smiling :D

I took piracetam a few years ago and felt like I was on speed. I mean, everything so clear and motivation through the roof. I've tried to get back on it a few weeks ago but I'm hardly feeling any effects. :( I haven't been taking it everyday though since it seems to have more of a spacey feeling for me. I dunno. :(

Thanks for the advice. No, I'm not taking any kind of choline. Please let me know why you think I should? Cheers.

why you shouldn't jump into the nootropic foray head-first?

for one you don't know if your body/mind will agree with it

for two their effects are basically the same

if you want to take a lot of nootrpics just take more of one

you don't see people being prescribed zoloft and prozac

start with a small dose of piracetam

If you're going to be taking just about any of the Racetams you're going to be recommended to take some form of choline along with it. Simply because most of the Racetams stimulate the ACh Receptors in the brain, which will cause your Choline to be used, so by supplementing with a choline source you can replenish your choline.

As to taking a bunch of Racetams for a start, I don't see a problem with it and have a few friends that I turned to Nootropics that started with Piracetam and Pramiracetam and they didn't have any problems adjusting to the new substances. Really it just depends on you personally, I know of one friend who when he started he started with just Aniracetam and he was getting drowsy from taking it in the beginning, however now he is taking Piracetam and Pramiracetam without any problems along with his Aniracetam and this is three to four weeks into him starting.

Hey everyone. I will try Noopept soon, in combination with choline-bitartrate. I haven't tried any racetams before.

I also take tramadol occasionally - maybe once a week and only up to 150mg. Is it safe to take tramadol with noopept and/or choline? And what about Trama-combination with other racetams like piracetam, aniracetam and Pramiracetam? Are there any risks regarding a possible lowering of the seizure threashold? (I have no history with seizures whatsoever, but I heard Tramadol combined with certain substances can be dangerous in this regard, nonthless)

By the way, this thread is freaking great - can't wait for my noopept! :D

What's the ratio of choline to racetams then?
thanks

I'm not sure about an exact ratio between the two. I typically take one to two capsules of choline a day and if it is CDP Choline that's about 250-500mg and if it is Alpha-GPC it is 300-600mg. I take 3,200-4,000mg of Piracetam, 750-1,500mg of Aniracetam, and 300mg of Pramiracetam daily.

this shit right here pretty much spot on sums my feelings about piracetam... especialy when you didnt get enough sleep the meth-ness of piracetam is very evident,I love it

Hahah yea, I've always found that using Piracetam after staying up all night, or while staying up all night definitely wakes up my mind. It's pretty useful I'm surprised more people going to college are onto this stuff because of how effective it works.

How's the Noopept going guys? I just placed an order recently so I'm hoping to have it in by Tuesday.

Smart Drugs also known as Nootropics - any experiences?

I've been reading a bit about smart drugs and have actually tried a few of them, but have not gotten much out of the ones I have tried.
Maybe it was low quality or bunk.

Here are the ones I've tried and their most common effects on me:
Noopept (fatigue)
Pramiracetam (headaches)
Piracetam (along time ago, should try again)
Selegiline (made me irritable, no notable improvements)

Some people have said Aniracetam and Oxiracetam are the ones that work for most people, so let's see if I try those soon.

Has anyone ever tried smart drugs and if so, which ones?
