Good starting dose for decent quality H (considering I am on 150mg of methadone)

I snorted about a 1/3 of a point of H and felt mild eurphoria....very mild....mind you im on 150mg of methadone....maybe thats why the effect were so mild.....from what i gathered online and from a trusted friend who knows my tolerance he figured this would be a good starting point....

Pound for pound whats decent quality H compare too...like is a point equivilent to say an 40mg oxy or so?

At that dose there is barely any point of trying to break through your methadone and it could be very dangerous to even attempt it.

good quality H is way stronger than oxy...What is a point? Isn't 150 mg's a pretty high dose of methadone? I have no experience with methadone but i feel like your wasting that good quality H.

It's impossible to know because the purity of street heroin can vary SO MUCH, literally from 1%-90%+ pure. I would say "good quality" heroin should probably be over 25% pure IMO. It's uncommon to find dope over 50% pure. The average level of purity really depends on where you live and what type of heroin it is (base, powder hydrochloride, or tar).

Pure heroin used IV should be roughly 2.5 to 4x as strong mg per mg as oral oxycodone (although of course their effects are going to be different, that's just a rough guide to potency). I have no idea what the comparison for snorting oxycodone to snorting heroin would be. A "point" should be about 100 mg of heroin (total weight including cuts).

If you are on 150 mg methadone a day that is your problem right there. You are going to have a high opioid tolerance and the methadone is also going to be blocking a very substantial portion of the high from heroin. Don't waste your money on heroin.

If you insist on using heroin on top of your methadone, please be very careful and just gradually increase your dose. That's all you can really do, we can't know what a good dose would be that would still be safe for you. Personally I really wouldn't bother, you might get the side effects and dangers of heroin without the good feelings, that's what would happened when I used it back when I was on 100 mg methadone.

In the NE where i am from, the heroin is reported to be over 65% pure on average, thats northeast HCL powder. 1 bag would usually weigh 33mg, 1/3 of a point, and IVing that would be about as strong as IVing one OC80. All depends on your dope quality which is hard to determine. And snorting it in my opinion was like snorting a Roxi 30mg.

Where did you get the number 65%? I'd like to see a source. And your bags are ~33 mg? That seems really small.

The only comparison I can really give you, is when I had an addiction in which I used .05 g of tar per shot, maybe 4-6 times a day, one day I couldn't get a hold of my normal connect so I bought an OP 80. I took the oxycontin and it didn't even put a dent into my withdrawals.

In the northeast people smoke the hcl and it is effective. Yeah, 33mg i am assuming because of the high purity. Like I said, equals about 1 OC80 IV. When i was addicted, i would shoot 5-20 "bags" per day, so an OC80 wouldn't do much for me either, much less and OP80.

Just because New Jersey has 90% pure heroin doesn't mean the OP's heroin is that pure. If anything, those sources prove the extreme variation in heroin purity in different locations.

Either way, 150mg methadone is too much to try and break through, no matter how pure your heroin is. There's a serious risk of OD at those dosages.

Yeah, with that dose of methadone you're really just wasting time and money trying to get high on heroin, and just add the OD risk as NT mentioned on top of that...not worth it. If you do insist on doing it though, I think SD gave a good answer but it just depends so much on the unknown quality of the dope that whatever you do, start very low and remember you can always redose if you're not feeling it enough.

I shot up almost half a gram of heroin that I considered to be of good quality after I used 180mg methadone. I got a bit more sedated and warm, that's all that happened. No real euphoria to speak of. I don't think it's worth the money/trouble.
