It's never the grower taking the piss.

The figures you give have always been the way Been Head, it's always been the middle men taking the piss. But the percentages do seem to have blown up all of a sudden.
 
You've also got to look at it from the dealer's "danger money" point of view. Why make £20 when you can make £200? The jail time is the same regardless of how much profit you're making. Not saying it's right, just that if I was selling it I'd want to make as much profit as I could & if £10 a g was the going rate, why would I risk my freedom for half that?

Only the odd person is going to do it out of good-will. Everyone else is in it for the money. The only way it could change is if people won't pay the higher prices. If they will, then why will the dealer suddenly decide to charge less? It would make fucking stupid business sense.

If Tesco sell all the loaves of bread they can possibly make every week at £1 a go, why sell them at 50p a go?
 
You'd like to think at least a few dealers would have a bit of competetive spirit though. Even if they just went up to full grammes at a tenner a pop they'd pull in way more punters. There's a massive difference between paying £35/3.5g and £50/3.5g. The former is grin and bear it territory, the latter is pure pisstaking.
 
Would they though? My point being - If they're still selling out everything they've got as fast as they possibly can then why drop their prices? Different if there was real competition & people were struggling to sell it, but that doesn't seem to be the case (this was the case back when I mentioned some old coke dealers doing 0.9s when the rest were doing 0.7s etc). Demand appears to be beating supply in most places, hence the problem.
 
Suppose you're mostly right actually, PTCH. Would depend very much on local setup really. Anybody doing that here would clean up cos there's so little competition. In more civilised places with no end of options I doubt it'd make such a huge difference... but a lil goodwill goes a longway imo. Customer loyalty and all that. Would take time to make any difference really though I suppose given the drop in immediate profits.

If he started selling 1.0g for £10 he'd get way more business and probably make more money.

He has no excuse if he's buying ounces at £180.

there's no way he's paying 160 an oz all the way to 3 kilos, no fucking way...he's making more than 80 an oz...
 
It starting to become the norm that people are selling 1.5g for £20 round here nowadays, it's really good quality stuff most of the time but I still can't quite justify paying that much.

Dealers literally can't get rid of it any quicker, it seems like nearly everybody I meet these days smokes weed so the demand outweighs the supply by quite a bit.
 
i'm only smoking once every 2 weeks at the moment so i've just been buying it in shitey bags rather than ounces and upwards (coz if its in the house its getting smoked)

1.7g for £20 - top end gear but one point fucking seven grams, it brings a little tear to my little eye.

I would've said 4.5oz but yeah, half a bar is minimal dealing amount IME, with 7g often being the smallest deal sold!
Nowadays young lads buy an ounce & think "thats 3g for me & 10 "fifty bags" to sell... yeah motherfucker, now I'm a weed dealer, BITCH!" 8)

I know it's crazy but he really is. It is top quality weed though, really nice strains well grown and dried fully. He dosen't get it from the growers himself it's coming from a middle man who obviously makes money on it as well.
 
That amnesia looks tasty!

Got 5.2 grammes of Jack Herer on it's way to me this evening. 50 quid. Shows the state of weed prices atm that I'm considering this a good deal haha. Quality of the smoke should be good though, as everyone keeps saying there seems to be quality bud in abundance about the place, but the prices are outrageous.
 
stoned out my head, got about 4 different sorts of weed here, dunno wgat any of them are, one of them is white widow, not sure which..
 
Only time I know ferra fact I've smoked White Widow is when I was in Haarlem and I spunked me train money on an eighth of it cos it was on special offer at a coffeeshop. Ended up having to hop one of those double decker trains. Along with several dozen other peeps apparently. You've never seen so many passengers leap towards the doors when the ticketchap entered the carriage a minute or two before we got to Schipol :D

Aside from that one weekend in the Netherlands I've never really known the strain of weed I've purchased tbh. Not reliably enough to actually believe it anyway.

Wasn't too happy with White Widow in dam. Probably because everyone overhypes the shit out of it. There were much better and stronger strains out there imo.

Still get some people round here trying to tell me white widow is cocaine mixed with weed.
