what kind of effects are sought by zolpidem (ambien) users? dosage range? blackouts?,

I am on 20mg zolpidem and high grade herbs, and
while I feel a mild drunkenness/dissociation, i feel as othough there are greater effects to be had, and I wondered if taking another 10mg would be dangerous? I dont re.ally wana black out either
 
Lol without a doubt you'll black out, and if you don't you'll hallucinate like crazy in a really, really bad way. There's no euphoria, and the hallucinations are that of a disassociative type, meaning spiders crawling under your skin, shadow people, seeing disgusting things and auditory ones. It can essentially turn you into a paranoid scitzophrenic. I don't suggest you take anymore.

I really doubt that dosage could be fatal IF the only other drug you've used recently was cannabis, but it could be "dangerous" in the sense that you could do things that are dangerous, not remember things, have unpleasant side effects, or take more without realizing/remembering.

I wouldn't bother taking more. How long ago did you take the 20mg?

If you black out on zolpidem and have a large supply of them I strongly advise against this too. A close friend of mine died through overdose of zolpidem alone. When you're blacked out you have a tendency to take a lot more.
 
^this and yes you can OD on zolpidem alone. I will often take them a little earlier than bedtime so I can enjoy the recreational effects. Prescribed 10mg but would at times take up to 30mg. On an empty stomach, you can quickly get a little drunken, dopey type feeling. Its nothing major. Just sort of relaxing and spacey. I never had any hallucinations or any of the things syn mentioned but you know how drugs go. Different people with different body chem experience different things. The biggest issue with zolpidem is that people tend to go and do other things that they don't remember while they are forcing themselves to stay awake while on it. Blackouts seem pretty unpredictable. I've had it happen after taking 10mg and then had times where I've taken 30mg and been ok. Blackout times are scary since you can randomly choose to go do a bunch of crap you won't remember. Some people will dose a little more, drink some alcohol (bad bad bad!!!), or even get in in a car and drive without any idea of what they are doing. Scary stuff really. Plus, for me anyway, goddamn it makes me EAT. I can't imagine smoking pot AND having a zol or two. I'd probably eat the entire pantry! xD
 
I like the trippy ness of IR ambirn, but fucking CR always makes me black out, its fucking lame
 
For me, and I have a benzo tolerance (which crosses with the z drugs), low dose a little before I plan to sleep if perfect. No trip like feelings, just relaxation, and then a good nights sleep.

Enter anything that might put you into blackout territory, and you will end up regretting it sooner or later.
 
Did you take it on a completely empty stomach? Makes a HUGE difference with z-hypnotics.

The idea behind taking them <snip> is the half-trippy dreamlike high that you get.

Lol, "innocent" zolpidem that gets handed out like candy is still causing issues I see.

This stuff had me in hospital from taking it while high or no memory, like 15 or so, but with tolerance i was good but thats dodgy. They say its somewhat safe in high dosages but i dont know what that means.

I also sleep drove often and awoke in random places with friends unsure how i got there since my last memory was going to bed. Also dont mix with booze.

Another time apparently i went to my mothers room and just lay there crying for ages, with only vague memory of a second or two of it. This creepy shit stands out the most, i mean wtf was i think about. No thanks.

Not worth the awesome floating sensation in bed like flying on a magic carpet you can control with your mind. But close.
 
I used to IV zolpidem with heroin to give a really strange trippy and heavy nod. (don't do this unless you have tolerance to both)

IV zolpidem alone is extremely strange, I like the trippy but calm feeling it provides, for 15 minutes untill I either lose time somehow or fall asleep. If you live with someone and want to get high on zolpidem, tell your partner to hold the pills. I've woken up after only intending to use 4 and instead finding 50 were used. After this I experienced some random wtf stuff like finding milk put in the freezer and some msgs on my phone that I sent that neither I or anyone else for that matter, ever understood. Once woke up with 100$ I still have no idea where it came from and where I might have gotten it. Well, while it was a bit unsettling, if you are going to have total loss of a day, it's at least good to know you've been productive.

Also made friends somehow with people I don't remember ever existed when they called me afterwards. It has led to confusion a couple of times.

Zolpidem is the WTF drug. Expect the unexpected.

But if taken in high doses its like sleepwalking, one of the strangest drug experiences i had was on ambien and weed. my buddy and i were watching good fellows and out of nowhere i said joe pesci is in your bathroom. right now, hes in there.

he was not.
 
taking z drugs for "fun" is just retarded; who wants to experience an uncomfortable delirium?

get some proper drugs like LSD, shrooms or DMT if you want to hallucinate and have the time of your life, having a euphoric experience.

save the Z drugs what they're handed out for - getting to sleep.
 
I just started it the other night. I got it from my doctor for insomnia. The first few nights were great because I actually slept through the night and woke up refreshed. Like most people have said, however, be careful with this stuff. I wouldn't even think about taking more than 10 mg to sleep, this stuff is no joke. As Ive been continuing with it, Ive had the strangest unappealing dreams ever. I wake up pretty lost and confused most of the time but it goes away in a minute. But seriously, the dreams are insane. Some are just weird, (well all of them are) and some are nightmares that make me really unsettled when I wake up. Those are my experiences so far. Anybody else experiencing crazy dreams like these?
 
It's a great sleeping pill actually, just go to bed don't take more than 2 and it's fine. I find it the most effective of the Z-drugs and better than all benzos except flunitrazepam.
 
Yeah I didn't know anyone used it for anything other than sleep...I've been using it as of this week-end and it's certainly helpful as far as that goes, but I would certainly NOT take more - as synthetix said, I'd expect that would really lead to nothing good. Not that I'm encouraging other drugs, but of all drugs why would you turn to ambien to get high?
 
I used it once after being awake tweaking for a week tweaking and 1 imovane to help me sleep, well I never got any rest, what I did get though was the most realistic, weird, out of this world hallucinations I've ever had. I thought it was interesting at first untill all the alien things in the world seemed hellbent on creeping up on me from nowhere, I just went and pulled the sheets over my head at that point. It was the most strange experience ever. Beats DMT in weirdness.

So use normal benzos for comedowns at least if you don't want the trip of a lifetime.
 
Do people actually buy these things off the street???I read it's popular with the young ravers now a days?The source was very small,so idk...
 
Never had any z-drugs personally. Also never blacked out lol.

Ambien sounds like a disaster waiting to happen with the way a lot of people on this forum handle drugs.... (no offense to anyone, I know alot of people "try" HR but come on lol....).

Sounds great for insomnia though. Xanax seems to really be my preferred drug for insomnia but never having tried ambien I'm not sure how much better it would work. Seems way to random with the blackouts for me. But I've also taken like 4mg of xanax with little tolerance and didn't blackout, just fell asleep shortly after.
