For a right wing religious news outlet CSM is actually not that bad. They cover their angle with a dose of relatively good journalism. Just stay away from the op-eds.
lol like for real? he not know dat? heh silly rach is totally clueless amirite? You missed the debate Rach had with me over CSM, when he didn't realize that CSM was actually a very notable source of news.
i tend to agree. in my experience, most people who roll their eyes when you mention csm as a source have absolutely no idea about it and are just making an assumption based on the name...For a right wing religious news outlet CSM is actually not that bad. They cover their angle with a dose of relatively good journalism. Just stay away from the op-eds.
Upper division writing exam tomorrow
it's cute how mfr sees himself as a vanguard of sorts. i picture a ~18-22y/o, overweight caucasian kid living with family/parents, riding the line of sanity as his fingers slam the keyboard, mouth-froth dribbling down his chin.
go back to youtube where you belong lol
/and don't worry about 'immortalizing' my posts - ROFL! keep fighting the good fight, mfr, when you die you'll know you made a difference.
Wow what a lame move lol. What I said was clearly sarcastic. There is a difference b/t sarcasm and being genuinely racist.
You changed your avatar to Nathan Bedford Forrest, and that's the guy who founded the Ku Klux Klan. Yeah...that's pretty racist. Forrest was a brilliant little terrorist though - he really knew how to cowardly slink around at night and cause some real trouble. On one hand, it is okay to venerate the old south, but on the other hand, they really needed to accept the fact that keeping blacks enslaved wasn't cool and that they could have honorably taken the severe assbeating that Sherman and Grant dished out to us and went ahead and rebuilt a new South that wasn't based on severe inequality and inhumanity. But, no, too many decided to delay progress for another hundred years. The Civil Rights bill that was forced through in 1964 was the best thing that ever happened to the South. There's real prosperity there now.
Whenever you have an extremely privatized economy like that n the old South, you end up with extreme poverty all over the place. Some socialistic policies really turned that backward place around.
But C'mon...I'm tired of this right-wing charade. Lots of you guys are still pretty fucking racist and are terrified of losing the white majority. Remember, Gen. Forrest had no qualms about attacking women and children and that makes him go down as a real piece of shit. Sarcastic or not, I believe in your freedom to use such an avatar, but don't expect it to go over so well.
Because of things like racism and greed, we've had to throw the baby out with the bathwater when it came to change in America. It sucks we can't remember our own past.
Wicked! Kudos, man. My ceremony is in April.
Heres something we can definitely agree on.The internet may not be so great for dating and college, but it was made for frank political discussion!
Should I change my avatar to Robert? He was a democrat
![]()
Well, at least he changed and regretted his ways, and he went on to do many great things in spite of Republican and right-wing greed to help disadvantaged people."I know now I was wrong. Intolerance had no place in America. I apologized a thousand times . . . and I don't mind apologizing over and over again. I can't erase what happened."
- Robert C. Byrd
Heres something we can definitely agree on.
One thing I hate about facebook is how judgmental everyone is on it because they actually know you. Like I said before I grew up in a christian household/community so my family and childhood friends/acquaintances would probably be horrified to hear half of the stuff I talk about on BL. It makes me very conscious of everything I say on FB.
I like BL because I can pretty much say whatever the fuck I want without having people in my life judging me for it. In a way BL'ers know my real opinion more than people I know in real life.
Well, at least he changed and regretted his ways, and he went on to do many great things in spite of Republican and right-wing greed to help disadvantaged people.
Many right-wingers may talk the good talk about defending the constitution now that a half-black, half-white democrat is in office, but they had very little to say when Gerge W. Bush shredded the living fuck out of it with his PATRIOT USA Act and his gross modifications that stripped war powers away from congress and the states and the people and concentrated it into his little Neocon circle.
Robert C. Byrd was one of the few (the rest were also liberals) who stood up against these serious destructions of the US Constitution during Bush, and he even successfully challenged Clinton's line item veto powers.. He also had the sense to stand up against the profound corporate and personal greed from both the right and the left.
There is a huge difference between him and Nathan Forrest. Byrd was a good man who redeemed himself far and above his past errors. I certainly have a history of making lots of bad racial remarks myself, but I always realized that it is not fair to judge someone by race or ethnicity. Even though liberals can take this race card too far, and likewise right wingers don't hesitate to use it either when it serves them (such as detracting from Byrd), it is important to understand the simple reality of sharing this country with other people of non-European ancestry and even coming to appreciate and admire them for their abilities and exotic looks.
Although I uphold your freedm to choose whatever avatar you like, I would be honored for you to change it to Robert C. Byrd. He was my state senator for many years.
