The level of misinformation here by Crashing is ridiculous. You do not ever apply heat to pharmaceutical opioids, especially time released Oxycontin. The logic that defeats your argument is simple. You claimed applying heat removes the wax from the old formulation of Oxycontin. Where do the inactive ingredients go exactly? Look up all the inactive ingredients in OxyContin. The current formulation is made out of plastic polymer. It's crazy for one to entertain the thought of injecting solution that has been cooked, where particulate matter has been melted into solution due to temporary addition of heat, creating the visual illusion that it's been dissolved. The particulate matter will eventually cool back down. You are essentially injecting solid non-liquid particulate matter that will turn back into solid form in your veins later, clogging the fine blood vessels in your lungs and limbs.
Don't let your eyes fool you, just because a solution "looks" clear to shoot doesn't mean it's safe.... Use logic. Have you ever seen coconut oil? It's solid until about 75 degrees Fahrenheit, then it begins to turn into liquid oily form. If anyone tells you to apply heat to anything that you are injecting, that's a DAMNED good sign they don't know what they're talking about and that what you are attempting to do has drastic health consequences. It's not that anyone here doesn't want you to get high or enjoy yourself, it's simple logic dictating not to apply heat if your already going to be doing something as dangerous as injecting tampered pharmaceuticals.
I'm sure all the movies coming out of Hollywood don't help correct this misinformation. People see people injecting on TV with dirty needles, kitchen spoons, and always applying that heat, for the incredible theatrical effect of watching the solution come to a rolling boil. In reality, safe drug abuse is not theatrical. If you're going to stick needles in your arms, you should learn some basic medical training and some background information about the theory behind the practice.
