Today is exactly 1 year that I have been absent from DXM and I had my down!

Well the 1.21.2012 was the last time I did DXM. I took it in combination with a head ache pill and felt drowsey wierd depressed and dissey for almost 6 months. I still have anxiety disorder for it I also still get this bieping in my ears (tinnitus)every few weeks. Not to forget the snowy vision that wont go away.

I dont want to fight or argue about this and the way it really happend. I think it was the asprin im not 100% sure though.


So yeah I guess its a bright day on the dark side. I am doing quit well at the moment. Depressions are only indused by drugs and go away. And everything got allot better exsept of corse the snowy vison.

So first of I'm happy I was able to stay away and never use it again! :)

But are their any experinced dexters out their that have been absent from the drug long enough for the snowy vison to go away? Or does it stay forever? Any tips?

i don't remember exactly how long the fuzzy vision lasted me but i don't think it was very long like maybe a month or two but ever since i quit taking it i tried taking 3 times since then and all it does is make me feel like shit and panic hard so just take my word for it it's not worth ever taking again
 
Congrats on the year! I remember your posts can't believe it's already been a year, time flies by fast. Other than that, the last time I did dxm was this winter break and after I was laying on the bathroom floor after throwing up.... I realized never again. Should of listened to myself last time when I was like this would be my last time... but this last time really will be! My brother convinced me to trip with him, smh on my part.
 
Well my fuzzy vision never faded. Which is sad becasue I only really ever did 1 first pletau trip and 5 2nd pletau trips :(
 
If you combined an opiate with DXM that could be the root of it. opiates dont mix well with dissociatives and hallucenogens.

I tried to use Dxm/pseudo to help combat withdrawal once. it made me very very sick. lasted for like a week.

I used to use DXM/pseudo almost everyday as a teen. now it just makes me very very sick.

i never thought that some of my physical issues could be directly related to the coricidin abuse. i have a FUCKED up stomach now tho, im sure that was most of the cause of it.

what did the dxm come from that u took?
 
in such small amounts and infrequent dosing you really shouldn't have long term issues with it. I can't even count how many third and fourth plateau trips i've had, like over 100 and i don't have any lingering effects that bother me (no snowy or fuzzy vision). Perhaps you need glasses? or maybe an eye exam at least?

the only way i see dxm causing such a thing is just that it made you more aware of visual artifacts that most people take for granted. That's about the only long term effect i've had from long term psych/diss use.
 
Don't know much about DXM so I can't help with the affter-effects you're experiencing, but I just wanted to say congrats on one year clean! Hope you're proud of yourself :)

oh it was 100% pure from the farmacy, it was powder. I have no stomach problems only the snowy vison and as wierd as it sounds on somedays like today its worse than on others.
 
I have no Idea how it happend or what happend. All I know thast it is their I its not a mental haserd and its real. I took a IB-profein 4 hours before ingesting the DXM. I felt like I was on a first pletau high for 2 weeks then it got better and then from suturday to sunday ( I didnt take anything nothing medical just food hardly even engey drinks) the whole thing started again. The same effekts I felt the same for 2 weeks again until it slowly got better after 6 weeks had past I was still feeling alittle dizzy and drowsey (like if you had taken 30mg against a cough) then I got a hair cut and the next day I felt extremly wierd it was a sunday and I was on tennis tunament watching the little kids play and helping out. Coulndt concentrate at all. IT was a really wierd feeling not like the other times but diffrent it was more of a feeling of um how would I describe it flucturation something that was pressing my head from the inside it was wierd and I could concetrate even less while feeling like that.

After that things like that didnt happen anymore. I still felt a little wierd after tzhe fourth month my vison still felt a little alterd like while on dxm. Something was wrong and I felt it.it got better though slowly and after the 7th month Ididnt feel anything any ore all effekts were gone. But until now my thinking is still a little diffrent my vison is totally fucked up. My eyes are extremly sensitv to light and if I look at something bright I have a black spot in my eyefor a while.


See after reading allot I might know what happend now It seems like though the ib profein the DXM was saved in my muscles and only used very slowly since then. That would also explain why I got stonger rushes when I drank allot of water.

But of corse thats just a hypothesis and Im not sure. I really still dont know exsacly how and what happend all I know that it happend and im not lying and its still a problem.
 
i doubt ibuprofen would cause such an effect. If you stare at something bright, if anyone does, they will see dark spots or distortions afterwards, like an afterburn effect. I think what you are experiencing is either a latent mental disorder, anxiety, or just the process of growing up. I bet you have light coloured eyes, I do as well and the sun can be blinding to the point where i can't see outside sometimes. Why do you feel so inclined to blame DXM or ibuprofen when there could be many other possibilities?

Did you just even read what I wrote?
ITs the only thing I took. with a glas of coffe.
It started from that point on. Yes I have bright eyes. But still spots stay in my vison for doubled as long as others. Maybe even trippled. The fuzz/static/snowy vision is still their.! Look Im not lieing why would I be lining im not making this up!
My vision if fucked up! its not anxiety or anything else its my eyes. Its like this just not as bads the spots are allot smaller more like little moving atoms or cells http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4KbBmZD2Qs. Without the tinitus. Well the tinitus comes sometimes but very seldomly

Have you considered that you may have some form of HPPD? If that is the case then what you took other than the DXM is irreverent. Yes, you may have noticed it from that single experience onward, but that doesn't necessarily mean that that is what caused it, or even when it actually began to happen.

Oh its possible. You Could read it up in the Internet google it.
Also my grandma got opiates against the pain before she died she never really stopped feeling buzzed even when she said she didn't want them anymore. My uncle who is a doctor diagnosed her with that.
 
Do you take any medications such as SSRI's? any other medications or herbs that you take regularly/irregularly? what kind of drugs do you use? (if at all)

the last time I really used a drug was last week MDMA on satuday. Im not talkingabout yestuday but the the one before that. Other wise I was cleen for 3 weeks before that. I dont smoke weed anymore unless on ocasions where I do decide to experiment a little again. But Im doing ym best not to mess with drugs anymore...
 
Sound like some mild HPPD. It can be permanent for some people. The more you do things that can induce it, the worse it gets\longer it stays. If you abstain from things that can cause altered consciousness it will for sure help to a degree. (If it's HPPD.)
