The quality of coke in my area is all over the place. With some stuff you need like a gram to get high just once, with other stuff probably like a 1/5 gram line is enough.
The thing is though, if what I'm hearing about pure coke is actually accurate and not just hype, then even the good stuff here is not very pure at all, like maybe 30%. Like I keep hearing about this pure coke you can get in some places where 1 gram keeps you going for like a day. Even with the best stuff in my area, a gram is really only good for about two or three hours.
The shitty thing is, I love stimulants, but other stims just aren't that widely available in my area. There's virtually no market for meth here for some reason, and pills (ritalin, adderal and so on) are pretty hard to come by. I've been diagnosed with ADHD and I can easily go to my doctor and get a ritalin script, but the problem is that whenever I get a prescription I just blow through it in a day and end up staying up for like 48 hours in this miserable zonked out state (methylphenidate turns really weird and shitty after you've redosed 7 or 8 times). I can't imagine what that could do to my heart, so I just don't bother with it anymore.
So when I want to get high I usually default to buying the shitty overpriced coke in my area.
... Man, that reminds me. Whenever I really reflect on the whole coke thing, it makes me realize how stupid and counterproductive my drug use has just become in general. Isn't coke's whole "brief high --> shitty comedown" pattern just a microcosm of what "pleasure drug" abuse is all about? You're always chasing after something that's just not there, or at least isn't there in any sustainable way.
