Rolled 8 Times In 30 Days - any damage?

My whole thing is....even if you do go WAY over the line and do it it way too much for awhile, chances are, you'll probably be okay...that's just experience.....

You can do the same with with cutting your self and probably be OK.. that doesn't mean you should do it, or that the consequences (IE scars all over your body or lasting serotonin downregulation in the case of MDMA) will be worth it by the time you are seemingly "OK" again.

You can avoid ALL the negative effects of MDMA by simply having some patience and waiting in between rolls. Why risk negative effects when you can roll even harder (albeit less often) without any problems?

You mean every weekend, or every day of the week ? Just doing the math on your consumption per session..

It was about 4-6 pills every weekend, but sometimes twice a week or even more if I had the money. There was a thread where I detailed every ecstasy pill I had ever taken and from that 8 month span alone there was around 250 pills, with another 50 or so being taken spread out in the years before and after that.

^ While on the other hand, I could probably continue to roll every three months for MUCH longer than 8 years with little to no negative effects.

Taking breaks to allow serotonin production to recover from the giant hit it takes after a night out is extremely important to being able to use MDMA safely for long periods of time.

Or you could just burn yourself out real quick and not really be ever able to use it again.. like the majority of E Tards these days :\

folley.....your still child.

you'll look back when your in your 30s and realise that you know fuck all when your 17.

Dont worry, most 17 years old think they know everything............

I ve taken MDMA longer than you have been alive. I am not brain damaged.

Then it seems like you're more proving my point that disagreeing with it. You've been able to use for that long because you do it fairly rarely.. do you really think you could have kept that up if you were using MDMA EVERY month during that entire period? I assume not... so I don't really see the point you're trying to make anymore?

I'm not proving your point at all, you just can't read properly. I've used MDMA for the last 22-23 years.

I did [abuse ecstasy] for about 15 years

for the last 7 or 8 years I've only done it fairly rarely though.

It's not my DOC any more, there are other more interesting drugs and things for me to do with my time, I'll still take it at a party though, but not in massive quantities, maybe up to about 5-600mg in a night, whether that be in pills or crystal...

I used mdma much more than once a month for a 10 year period at least, maybe more...and in much larger quantities per session, almost always with speed, acid, 2cb, coke, always weed.....

I still use a fair amount of drugs.

I'm fine, my head isn't fried, neither are the heads of my E-Tard friends.

Irie! %)

@Folley - Ah.. You were on MDMA And Methamphetamine ? You neglected to mention that in this thread..

It's definitely a special drug that lends itself to occasional use....I'd rather wait for a really great music event and do it once a month than sit around on a wedensday watching TV on a good pill!

I only do it maybe once a year now and I have a good time.....

That's because MDMA does not cause brain damage. It causes lasting serotonin downregulation and destruction of serotonin axons. This is often reversible after one use... but heavy MDMA abuse can permanently destroy those axons and you're brain has to eventually create new ones to make up for that receptor loss. This often takes years, and in some cases (animal studies where they give just absolutely ridiculous doses to monkeys), doesn't occur hardly at all.

I have personally gone through some of the absolutely horrible side effects that ecstasy abuse can bring, and I don't find them to be ANYWHERE NEAR worth it when I could just wait an extra month and NEVER have to worry about them again.

so in your opinion "lasting destruction (damage) of serotonin axons (parts of the brain)" is not brain damage?

Has this been proven using recreational doses of MDMA?

More than anything else, regular use of MDMA simply lessens the high too much to be worth it. I've rolled twice in the last ten days and my roll yesterday was noticeably lessened (though still really great). I've experienced similar effects when dropping two nights in a row, which I've done a couple of times (not recommended). The more often you take MDMA, the more significant the diminishing returns are, which is a real waste of what is a wonderful wonderful drug. We've all done stupid things, we've all rolled more than we probably should have at some point. Don't let it get out of control and ruin something that can have a real positive impact upon life.

Yo Folley, have you considered that possibly the fact that you're 17 and have been using mdma for the last 4 years with 8 months of hard use during the period may have something to do with your negative effects. You're still a teenager man, your brain is developing still now. Puberty + mdma may lead to anxiety / depression and all that. I personally used to drop mandy every weekend for around 2-3 years and whilst now I tend to leave it a month or more per session, I still think it is hugely overkill for you to be suggesting 3 month breaks are needed lol.

You think.

I have never once said 3 month breaks are NEEDED, only that it is MUCH safer to do so. That is irrefutable...

If risks are worth the reward to you, go ahead and roll every week. For me personally though, once a month is pushing it too far. 3 months is a bit too much for me to want to wait either, but it's really not that hard. I haven't rolled for 5 months now, and I've had MDxx sitting in my room the entire time

I would say 45-60 days is optimal from what I have seen, although even that may be hard to sustain with long term use.

I would like to reiterate that I have never ONCE said the OP (or anyone who abuses MDMA) would not be OK though. In fact, if you ask me I will and have often said the exact opposite.

People can do meth everyday for 20 years, stop and be "OK" in some sense of the word. Your brain adapts to the changes it is forced though... but just because you can come out seemingly "OK" though doesn't mean that it is safe, or even worth it at ALL to have to go through that kind of pain, however.

and surely my age is connected in some way to the problems I received from drug abuse.. but my ideas are not based around my problems only, but the hundreds if not thousands of cases and individual reports from people of all shapes and sizes who have gone through similar problems.
