Could somebody assist me with the best pre, post and during supplements to ensure health and best results with Heroin use?

For example how chelated magnesium is recommended for meth use, except for H?
(Does chelated magnesium help with H as well? I just managed to find some today)

Thanks.

Are you trying to potentiate the heroin, or just maintain health while using? The best advice I can give is to maintain a balanced diet rich in vitamins, maybe use a multi-vitamin, stay hydrated, and keep good hygiene...It seems like it can affect your skin quite a bit, especially if you're a girl, so you might pay a bit more attention to that....It doesn't really tear you down like meth and sleep deprivation does...a lot of the negative physical consequences relating to appearance(looking like a junkie) come from self neglect more than anything, IMO....It makes you care a lot less

Ok thanks. Yeah was thinking more just keeping healthy. Ok so normal vitamins then, nothing really specific?
Speaking of sleep, I have found H to keep me awake almost as much as meth does. Its more that i don't want to sleep (even though im noding out constantly, you never actually fall asleep)
I have hardly slept at all since Thursday when i started and still feel fine, even in between doses when it wears off.

I know how to eat healthy and take care of myself, but I'm not a health guru....
It's probably an individual thing depending on your body....as far as what specifically you would need to take to combat any adverse effects from heroin, I don't really know...Poor nutrition and lack of hygienge, specifically not brushing your teeth, seems to be what screws people up the most...You lose track of time and end up not eating regularly...I'd say washing your face is important as well because heroin seems to make you sweat and makes you a little more oily than normal....

There really aren't any "specific" vitamins that heroin itself directly causes a deficiency of.. Most of the negative health problems from dope, (aside from IV complications), come from a lack of eating, drinking enough water, getting enough exercise, etc.. So, theoretically if you were to continue to eat well, drink enough fluids, and take a multi vitamin.. You could use heroin and be quite "healthy". Of course, that sounds funny and a bit like an oxymoron but.. heroin itself isn't really all that harmful on the body. That's certainly not an advocation for using. It still causes intense addiction and dependence which leads to some horrible shit.

Important thing to consider is withdrawals that is the true killer to your body.

Thanks all!

Yes my experience so far tells me Dehydration is the biggest issue that needs to be addressed health wise while using.

Cheers.

It's easier said than done though! The main reason I think people take heroin is to "Not give a fuck" about anything.....So, most people that use it just don't make nutrition and personal hygiene their number one priority, although there are some slick mother fuckers I've known that work out and cook dinner every night and hold shit down!
I'm about in the middle. I don't let myself go completely, but I still end up not taking care of myself that well when I'm in the midst of a habit....

Without a habit, if you're just using opiates and not mixing it with all kinds of other things, aside from ODing, you should be okay...

^ I still give a fuck when on H, in fact feel motivated and think about life and work and may even start working even if on off time.
I think my doses are to low though.

Meth on the other hand manifests as complete escape and not giving a shit about anything, no fear no negative anything.

It seems for me the common experience factors seem completely reversed between these two drugs.

^I mean, it all depends from day to day....any drug will eventually make me start to not "give a fuck" eventually...

I agree, in a way...meth definitely puts you in more of a fantasy world, not thinking about the consequences, but when I get heroin and end up nodding all night, I forget to take care of business too...You gotta plan ahead and make sure you have as much of your business taken care of as possible BEFORE you get really high, if possible...

Withn just Heroin looking aFTER yourself is pretty easyn just drink a bit more water and fibre and the main thing for IVers is blood ovre the place, cllthes, you.

As said above, one of the best things you can do is simply plan. Take care of business before getting high. Mainly just try to take care of yourself. Shower, wash your face, take your vitamins and stay hydrated. Also depends on your ROA though too. If you IV then you defiantly want want to be doing things safe and very clean. Users who wont take care of how they IV usually wont take care of themselves period..
But same thing can go for the smokers too.

I would say just take care of yourself..Myself I take a multi-viatmin every day, plus a Vitamin C and D pill every day.

Although my appetite took a nose dive to where I don't really eat.

This is my researched daily supplement regiment for every day not just drug use days

1. Chelated Magnesium (newly added thanks Bluelight)
2. Organic Food based (non isolate) Multi Vitamin for max absorbtion
3. Fish Oils (KIrill Oil)
4. Vit D
5. Calcium
6. Digestive Enzymes (Big impact on overall health, look it up)
7. Probiotics
8. Immunocal (Glutathione Supplement, look it up, its epic)

The main problem is heroin although isnt "toxic" in the classic sense it still is VERY harmful in a in direct way mainly because it's illegal/impure. Examples:

- being in withdrawal and ill - taking risks for the drug
- non-consistent use - unlike methadone daily you have spikes in opiod activity
- the will to live this goes both ways. When you hit and rush you're stimulated to hell and can do anything but down the line I find if your wasting time hitting veins, waiting for dealers you are less likely to hold down work, etc
- time consumed taking the drug, finding, buying, funding
- then classic vein problems and damage and if in withdrawal or on stims it's harder to hit but you're more wreckless

IMportant proper IV tech is maintained!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Theres aload more - heroin is deffo bad but it's smart and indirect. It rapes you while you sleep

Yes there are. Some that I know of that have been studied: Potassium, B Vitamins, likely calcium and Vitamin D (I'm sure there are others too). Even functional opioid users with good diet/lifestyle have these kinds of deficiencies, so I would say it is the heroin directly causing it.

Opioid use causes abnormalities in insulin and blood sugar, so it's a good idea to take vitamins for that as well, for example Vitamin C.

It's important to take care of digestion, since opioids are so constipating and slow the digestive system, so taking extra fiber, probiotics and magnesium is good for that. Magnesium may also slow the progression of tolerance according to a number of studies on animals.

A multi-vitamin/mineral supplement is probably not enough. I would add extra of all the above mentioned things.

Some other things: drink lots of water, try to get a decent amount of exercise, don't eat very much processed sugar (a lot of heroin users crave sugar, but try to stay away from it, maybe have some fruit instead of a chocolate bar).

Thanks. A quick one. While
H is sedating, I cant sleep on it, i know its difficult to sleep but rather i tend to want to stay awake, like with stims. Any suggestions to get some sleep. My usual solution Seroquel is obviously not an option.

If you're not sleeping on it and you're high, whats the problem? Going to sleep is a waste! Take it earlier maybe.....

The best idea would be to not use heroin close to bedtime. But if you're not willing to do that, then the second best idea would be to do things to make it easier to sleep, like not using the computer before bed, practicing good "sleep hygiene", meditation, sleep music/binaural beats, etc. One thing I enjoyed was practicing lucid dreaming, which can be easier on heroin and can make going to sleep more desirable too. Third best thing (or something you can do with the above) would be to take supplements to help with sleep, such as melatonin and magnesium. There are a ton of supplements and herbs that can help with sleep, just check to see whether they have any interactions with heroin (a few supplements/herbs can make heroin stronger or weaker). It's not a good idea to rely on drugs for sleep, for numerous reasons, and most of them cause tolerance, dependence, and/or are not safe to take with heroin.
