I had my wisdom teeth removed at 14, and as the gas took hold, this was on my CD player. I still can't think of a better track to soundtrack an ascent into the gas cloud.

That was interesting. Mostly b/c the guitar riff sounded like a budgeted Rolling Stones lick. Many of my friends consider me an unsophisticated caveman b/c I still like the Sex Pistols better than PiL.

That would have been really cool. I had a similar experience since the first time I heard it I was at the hospital on morphine. Needless to say I was just rocking out in the hospital bed not giving a fuck about the fact that they were considering amputating my arm, haha (though to be fair that was probably the morphine too).

Not to stray too far from the topic, but Pagey, you reminded me of my first morphine/dilaudid hospital experience: my jaw was broken and I had a tooth dislodged, so suffice to say I was in a decent amount of pain. Furthermore, my girlfriend and friend were visiting, but I could not have cared less. The stuff just had me in paradise. I hope that doesn't constitute glorification, as it was in a medical setting, but feel free to strike that from the thread, mods :)

With the total Mumfordization of music taking place these days it is good to remember there is some good neo-folk around.

But right now I feel like People Suck. Thank you Toxic Narcotic.
