Applying for a semester abroad

^Hey thanks so much for all that!
UCSB certainly sounds like the nicest but as I mentioned, the problem is I don't get to choose which one I go to :( I do have mixed feelings about applying to UCLA as I don't want to live in LA that much but it does still appeal to me more than the other options available (not SB and Berkeley, the other campuses)

And no don't worry, should be fine with the drinking culture, I am studying in the UK after all ;)

Anyway thanks a lot for the insight, and yeah if I have any questions I'll be sure to PM you!
 
Well the application is sent with Sydney as my first choice, California second, Penn 3rd and Chicago 4th. I think I'll get an answer some time in the next couple of months. Wish me luck! :)
