it was intended initially as a christmas present for my dad 3 years ago, I just never got around to finish making it, lol. Maybe this year, but I doubt it, I'll try and get it done perfectly for his birthday in July.
 
Anyone that tells me that he's busy whittling a walking stick with a penknife or similar sized tools is a tool.

Get a proper tool ya tool ;) 8(

one advantage you have now though is that the wood will be dry and ready for carving, unlike when you started and it was wet...
 
I wanted to do it completely with one knife, but then i left it outside once and it got too rusty and i eventually threw it out so need a new knife of a similar standard so it can be similar to what I intended in the first place. I want to just use a normal flip knife. I'ts going really well so far, needs a bit of thinning out and the bottom needs resizing to fit the rubber bit on the botton on and the top needs to be wrapped in leather and then in needs to be varnished.

I actually tried to PM him back just being curious as to what astronomical price he was thinking about charging me, PM box was full, shit cunt. I think I dodged one with the rockstar tbh, I said id help him out and ended up whiffing everything id bought for him, probally for the best.
