Pretty crazy huh? I'm proud to be a Washington state citizen right now.

So many implications if this goes through. It should pave the way for the rest of the nation.

You sure that isn't speculative?

Any idea of how the federal government may play into it? I've heard they still have some power even if it passes on whether it may go through.

Wow I definitely didn't see Colorado going through with it. Congrats Colorado!

Edit; that is if its finalized and All, which its looking like it is

Not sure what this really means yet. You can be sure the DEA and ONDCP won't stand for this, even if Obama is supposedly "soft" on marijuana..

With the new DUI laws in effect, it will also give officers more rite then before to pull vehicles over, and more of a rite to search with out consent of the drivers permission upon suspicion of intoxication.

Im not trying to be a buzz kill, just stating what might need to be considered, especially if you are a poly-substance abuser and carry drugs other then marijuana on your person regularly.

Not sure what this means for marijuana derivatives such as hash and hash oil, which I depend on for medical reasons.

Anxiously awaiting the squirming from the feds, especially Mr "four more years".

Its a gonna be entertaining. ;)

O RRY? and what are they going to do about it? Send in the troops?

It's good that now we have some guinea pigs, I for one am not really pro-legalization of marijuana (probably for the same economic benefits as the feds), but we'll see. I'm fine with the way things are with medicinal marijuana.

2 down 48 to go. Hopefully it'll be like dominoes, where more will start passing it now that 2 states broke the ice.

Regardless of the potential negatives, I'm sure proud to be a Washingtonian.
It's interesting to read the demographics of who said "yes" on the ballot. A lot were educated beyond high school. Most who opposed it were over 65 and/or apparently regular church goers. Although anyone could have guessed that.

same, I'm a medical patient in colorado and california and I don't really know how I feel about legalization. The system already works for me perfectly, seems like legalization will cause more problems than solve. I can see why this didn't pass in CA though, the medical scene is so much different (not in a good way) than colorado. Like in CA every dispensary i've been too, everything is pre-weighed and prepackaged, which is pretty lame imo.

I'm pretty sure colorado tried to pass a similar DUI law where law enforcement would test for a ridiculously small amount of THC in your blood after pulling you over but I don't think it got much support

Washington state (west side) is the shit.

I was born here and I'll die here.

But now I'll die legally smoking my herb
