Eating shit as per fuckin usual...
I see it's in all the papers today that MXE is finally being permanently banned (Class B I believe), though I'm not sure when this comes into force. I guess we all knew this would happen, but I had a faint glimmer of hope that the ACMD would see sense and realise that only two indirect fatalities in the UK indicates a relatively benign substance. This is a bit of a double whammy for me as well because it was only last night that I finally broke into the g of MXE that I hastily bought when the temporary ban was announced earlier this year - only to discover it was either a bad batch or cut with some shitty stim - bummer! I for one will really miss this chemical as I just don't know how to obtain the decent stuff anymore. R.I.P MXE...

it's ridiculous that its being made class B, when ketamine is on the same schedule as prescription only medicines. Fucking pisses me off. I absolutely hate the people that were turning into a legal high money maker and causing all the crap in the papers.

Don't quote me on the class B category because I got my info from a copy of the Sun that I found in my shopping trolly. A quick Google found the same report in the Daily Fail, so I haven't got much hard evidence to go on really! The black mamba smoking mix was also mentioned, but it didn't state the chems involved - though I'm guessing AM2201?

the cannabinoids are also going to be class B, unlike cannabis which is class C. Madness really considering they do exactly the same thing! The government and the ACMD is so obviously bowing to hysterical media pressure yet again.

The problem isn't these drugs themselves, but they way they are marketed to vulnerable / naive people.

Fuck sake :( I knew it would never be allowed to be officially legal again barring some miracle, but class B is stupid, not that it won't stop me using it ever again though, it's just a load of bullshit.

ahh I was completely unaware of that change. The misuse of drugs act is fast becoming a mess, and the law is clearly a shambles when it comes to dealing with the problems presented by the existence of drugs and the willingness of people to take them.

Sadly there isn't a next derivative, as they've basically banned most of the possible arylcyclohexamines

"Legal highs" mexxy and black mamba banned by government

Two substances which are said to give users dangerous "legal highs" are to be made illegal class B drugs - with users facing up to five years in jail.

Crime Prevention Minister Jeremy Browne says black mamba and methoxetamine, often known as mexxy, will be banned.

This comes after the government's drugs advisers found they posed dangerous risks to health.

Mexxy was linked to two deaths and police have warned of the "life-threatening effects" of black mamba.

Mr Browne said: "People who take 'legal highs' are taking serious risks with their lives because often they do not know what they are taking and the drugs may contain harmful substances.

"The UK is addressing the harm caused by 'legal highs' by outlawing not just individual drugs, but whole families of related substances that have the potential to cause serious harm."

As class B substances under Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, users of the two substances will face heavy fines and up to five years in prison, while suppliers could be jailed for up to 14 years.

What the fuck is black mamba? I always thought it was a large black didlo

Presumably they are referring to a smoking blend doped with a synthetic cannabinoid, they are using the language of the press to talk back to the press and the british people really.

They don't even realise that banning these substances could potentially cause more harm as street dealers will cut it with any fuckin shite they could use.

the RC era is slowly coming to a end. was fine whilst it lasted.

anybody know the legal status of AMT?

What really pisses me off is that all the media hysteria in the UK stems from the deaths of two fellers who drowned after allegedly ingesting MXE, though I'm not entirely sure whether the presence of MXE was ever actually confirmed. I believe that alcohol was also a factor (surprise, surprise)!

Therefore, the deaths were not directly due to any toxic effects of the drug itself. I'd be willing to bet money that more people die each year whilst fishing, but I don't see any calls for that to be banned!!

Does anyone know if there are any suspected or confirmed health implications or deaths directly attributable to MXE use, or even any confirmed hospitalisations due to toxic effects, other than just people freaking out from inexperience or overdose?

When will these thick idiots realise that banning these chemicals doesnt work!!
