Call me stupid but has there been some conclusion to this jagged skin edge phemonmia?

The hat pic was enough to put me off my tea, but the jagged paper edges? Am tormented? Full explanation necessary to soothe my soul please. The green is ned-trash tho' you so know this doncha you? Nae style or culture in that grow :p

I think the jaggedness means that the edge is much longer than it would be were it straight and that this increases friction and hence stickability, but I might well be wrong.

Surely surface area is more significant than edge length? By cutting off those triangles that's half the surface area gone. It's the surface that's sticky, not the edge.

I reckon the reason is if one bit of the sticky area works loose, it has less of an impact on the rest of the sticky area. Either that or it's just a load of toss, latter more likely. i.e. looks "cool".
 
I think you're right. Blunt wraps tend to be not exactly sticky all over, kind of greasy but can be encouraged to stick with lashings of gob. I'm not really a fan although they're an entertaining display of plenty if you've got a large amount of marijuana needs smoking.
