Hello people

I've come here to maybe find some answers or maybe find some people who have experienced similar effects as to what I am going to explain. These effects don't happen to me while on MDMA, I only ever have amazing experiences on it though I am quite an experienced user probably around 10-15 nights on it dosing at usually 0.5g a night.

My close friend who is 20 years old is a very spiritual person, he believes very strongly in souls, in telepathy, all those sorts of things. He doesn't have any mental disorders. When he takes MDMA (pure form) he goes very weird, he isolates himself and can't hold a convocation. He looks like he has seen a ghost, very frightened and very disassociated from himself. This happens almost every time he takes MDMA and after time me and my friend circle have come to find out that he says while he is on it he can hear voices in his head, he says that he thinks very dark thought but he doesn't share what thoughts he has with us. When me and him have talked 1 to 1 he says that it's almost as if he can talk to god while on it. He really worrys me while he's on it because when people hear voices in there heads this can lead to very unpredictable actions, not that I think he would ever do something terrible but you never know.

I'm just wondering if anybody knows what could be triggering this, or maybe if anybody knows anyone else that suffers similar effects. I really would love to be able to understand it but he doesn't like talking about it.

I'm sorry if this isn't typed out very well

Thank you.

He may be prone to stimulant psychosis. Hearing voices and delusions are fairly common when people use for extended periods of time.

Whatever he does, I don't think he should play with uppers if that is how they affect him. He might stay in psychosis land one of these times after he comes down.

it is fairly common but can be dangerous in many cases, this is nothing to take lightly.

THIS IS A TRUE STORY FROM MY LIFE: not about MDMA but methamphetamine
yes it sounds like stimulant psychosis, and even though it seems like he wouldnt do anything terrible, and like you say you dont know. I have a friend that i used methamp quite often as in every time i used... and he started hearing authoritative voices and he said he had "new insight" in the world he acted like this for almost a week, i talked to him 1 on 1 every time after the long high, telling him what had gone on, he continued to use and it never added up. Then one day just like all the others he came to the drug "den", we got high on the same dose, i did start to hear him mumbling to himself but this had become pretty usual for him at this point, an about 2 hours in he asked me where the bathroom was and i laughed and gave him a sarcastic answer because we had both be to this house for many many years, he looked at me blankly and i pointed at the bathroom door. almost 10 mins had passed and he still hadnt come out so i knocked, nothing... my stomach sank i put my shoulder hard into the door and found him with his head in the toilet not breathing... i pulled him out fast and started CPR (trained) called 911, he came to before the ambulance arrived, i said "what the fuck are you thinking?" he had little recollection of the event, (which was likely cause either buy the lack of oxygen to his brain or the psychotic state of mind) and then seconds later said "the voices told me I had to leave my body, because it was keeping me from EVERYTHING that is true and real" (actual quote) ill never forget that day, he was taken to a metal institution and spent the next 3 months there regaining his grip on reality, he got out last year, he still uses and has dilutions to this day, his will never be himself again.

I started to use before him bye bout a year, and i have had very slight visuals and "song-like" audio hallucination, which only accrued with over 72 hours with NO sleep. im not justifying my use at all, i hate it... just implying that it can happen with seemingly no pattern and not to everyone.

be careful he needs to stop using, i know its extremely hard but the psychosis is completely unpredictable!

I'll just share that was a pv head a while back. I used to binge on grams staying awake for days at a time and I fucking loved the psychosis like effects. Shadow people never scared me, I thought that it was the coolest phenomenon. I would always use for days and stay awake because I really loved that feeling that the walls of reality were breaking down.

Well, one time they broke down completely on a 4 day IV mdpv binge. It went from amusing to terrifying as I could no longer tell what was going on. I just remember pacing around my room rambling to coworkers and friends who weren't really there. It changed from visual hallucinations to entire delusions and there is nothing fun about it.

Please try to encourage your friend away from speed of any kind, even mdma. No one wants to lose grip on reality forever and it can happen. I fully recovered but fuck I can't imagine the hell of waking up hearing voices daily.
