revolution isn't gonna be one of the 'what the fucks appening' ones. he's done/produced Persons of Interest and Alcatraz .. none of which are that long or interwhined without explaination. it's got the guys who do supernatural involved too, not that I watched that.

Not sure why I'm plugging it so much tho, cause it ain't THAT great and there's no swearing in it, therefore it DEEPLY FLAWED ...

Deadwood finished at season 3 ... season 2 was best .. but Al Swigen just got better n better as a character ... fucking perfect from Ian McShane .
 
Maybe I watched all of Deadwood then, or stopped during season 3. If I did I might go back and watch it again. I think I just thought this is getting shite & will run for at least another few seasons, get out now before you've invested too much time in it to give up. If I'd know it was going to end then I'd have kept watching. Al Swigen was big Lovejoy, aye? He was a cracking character.

I'm never knowingly going to watch something with the lost cunt's name attached to it, ever. I don't care it's the greatest thing ever made. It's a point of principle.

Anyone watch Dexter? Never seen it and I am looking for something to watch having watched all of Breaking Bad :)
 
Yeah Dexter is amazing. one of my faves alongside breaking bad

He created Fringe, so you can stop with that. He's done a few things, which you've probably seen and not known it's him. He has some pretty good ideas. Never bothered with Lost, but I'm reminded often how amazing it was (obsessed missus).

New Fresh Meat tonight. Carrying with season two of Breaking Bad, also.
 
I like Fringe, it's fucking stupid though. As I said in a different post, I will never knowingly watch something that the lost cunt is involved in. If I accidentally watch it & like it then fair enough, but I won't do it deliberately - out of principal. I have so much hatred for Lost.

Btw, what I've said in that post you quoted can be pretty much applied to Fringe.
 
Just watch An Idiot Abroad - that's where the clip is from. Also, The Ricky Gervais Show - it's just animated podcasts of Karl being interviewed and it's hilarious. Some of the stuff he comes out with...
 
Tonight on BBC2 Storyville: Tabloid - Sex in Chains - 11:50pm - 1:15am


I haven't seen it before (it's a repeat), but I should've done since it's directed by Errol Morris and he's one of the best documentary filmakers out there.

I've just been ploughing through the first few seasons of the yank TV drama series Big Love, about a family of Mormon Fundamentalists, and also the LDS church in America in general. Harry Dean Stanton has been fucking perfect at portraying a seriously creepy polygamist and Prophet Leader of a fundamentalist Mormon Compound in Utah.

Mormons are a weird bunch. Mitt Romney winning the election is a scary thought. fucking frightening idea.

Anyway, this should be interesting.

The Wire's got decent reviews. May have to start watching that but I can see myself doing exactly what I did with breaking bad and watching every single fucking episode as quickly as possible, followed by the crippling sadness of having nothing to watch due to my low level of self restraint.
 
Hold up, Romney is a mormon? I knew he was off his nut but he's a fucking mormon? I mean, I know that christians etc are all mental & believe in utter nonsense as well but the mormon shit is so much more easy to 100% prove as utter gibberish. How can someone who is clearly insane even be allowed to be in the running for that position? What a fucking strange world we live in.
 
Thats what I did with breaking bad! I have all of the wire downloaded, but haven't got round to watching it yet, might have to stick it on to tonight and see what it's like.
