What cartoon is that from? It's pissing down here like crazy, yesterday was a lovely 27C sunny day, right now it's windy and rainy. I think my flatmates are planning on dragging me to some houseparty full of foreign students, might be a few birds there I hope.

There definately going to be girls, students though so I'll have to dress like I used to ten years ago or I'll look like a predator. I doubt there's going to be anything harder than weed. Now I'm gonna head down the pub, try to meet some locals(pretty much every lad in town is out on the lash because of the aussie rules final), won't mind some heavy drinking with randoms and maybe a kickabout ;)
 
Not working this weekend :) Not really got any plans though, I'm going to view a room to rent at some point, need to arrange a time. I should have some NEK arriving on saturday morning so will give that a go again, this time without any MXE in my system, will get to judge it on it's own.

I don't know what I'm doing. Everyone's pretty skinto. Pressure tonight has a pretty banging line-up & is on till 5am. I really want to see Gary Beck & Pan-Pot. Doubt it'll happen though, too much other shit on soon to be able to drum up a decent sqad. I could go see my mate strum some geetar in "The World Famous Barrowlands Ballroom" aka "the fuckin' barras" tomorrow.

I'm not too arsed if there's nothing happening tbh, I need to stop burning cash. Got this weekend & next weekend to go then it's Amsterdam time %) Week after that it's Ricardo at Subby %)%) then the week after my mates are having a "we're fucking off on a big massive holiday" party which is fancy dress so two of us are going as The Blues Brothers lol.

A quiet weekend probably wouldn't be too bad. I reckon I'll need to go a trek to pick up some weed though if that is going to be the case.
 
Friiiiiiiiiday! Don't have to be in work til 11, looking forward to spending a night relaxing and lying in tomorrow, then I have several options for the weekend - some kind of arts trail ting, a birthday party and Dirty Dike at my fave club. I'm not quite as skinted as I thought so should be a good one if I can battle through my tiredness :)

Ditto crackhead but it's probably not happening. Either got Green Velvet or a local tech-house night. I'm not against either but could do with a weekend off the mass MDMA consumption and I am skint aswell.

Gary Beck is playing here next weekend, wouldn't mind seeing that, playing along side a local rave crew and house dj's, should be a good one.

Amsterdam sounds good before the ban we were all thinking end of november. I've been getting too far ahead of myself, thinking of new year etc :D

As for me it's weed n watching The Ryder Cup Golf on the T.V . If i hadn't been such a greedy twat yesterday i'd still have some oxy n 6 morphine ir . I was daft cos i didn't need all that iwould have got a gouch off just the oxy 80.
Still i gotta go to a part of town to get my weed where they sell codeine otc but i still owe the chenist for the last bottle !

Gary Beck is playing the Reading Rooms in Dundee in November....300 Capacity and the best beer garden/smoking area too. This year the reading rooms lineup have been unbelievable for such a small club. Zabeila, SLam all night, DJ Sneak, Green Velvet. Nick Warren next Friday, Andy Weatherall in November. Love the reading rooms. Best small club in Scotland in my opinion.

Saw Pan-pot at T this year...........IMO was the best set of the weekend. Hit the spot.


This weekend the birds olds are coming up so going out for a few meals, doing a few touristy things and maybe picking up a cat on Sunday. Looking forward to another drug free weekend.

I ve been off the bluelight radar for a few weeks....the Ibiza comedown was of biblical proportions. Really depressed, unmotivated, insomnia and serious anxiety when trying to get to sleep for 2 weeks (I ve never suffered an anxiety before - was weird) . I just did cold turkey with the sleeping tablets, so was crabbit as fuck but im ok now, sleeping unaided and my mood is back to normal.

I must have seen Green Velvet about a dozen times. He plays The Arches all the time, at one point I think it was at least twice a year lol. I'd get along to that Gary Beck night if I was you. He's quality & his new album that's just out is meant to be excellent. I'm actually considering buying it rather than stealing it, seeing as he's a local lad =D

Ah, fuck that Ryder Cup man. My step-dad took great pride in telling me that he's upgraded our shady lo-fi Sky TV to the full bhuna package yesterday. Happy days, even though I barely watch the thing, until I found out his reason - So he can watch 24/7 Ryder Cup, non-stop golf daft. Just when I've got myself back into the mood of wanting to play GTA & it's hooked to the same telly so I've no chance.

Pan-Pot are phenomenal. A lot of people said there's was the best set of TITP. I've seen everyone on that list a few times bar Nick Warren (never heard of him actually). Sneak in a tiny club would be immense I think, I've only ever seen him play at larger venues (Arches, TITP etc). I've heard a lot of good things about The Reading Rooms. Slam certainly seem to like playing there. Too bad it's in Dundee...

My Friday is gonna consist of cinema this afternoon, then mushrooms tonight. I'm in a bit of a funk motivation-wise and I've not been able to pull myself out of it like I normally can. Shrooms usually help.

Anyone seen Looper yet? ... looks halfway decent. I like JG Levitt, he usually chooses decent roles and interesting flicks rather than just run of the mill mainstream clobber. Probably gonna go and watch this in a bit

Do you know what? With mushrooms I find the first couple of trips ( i usually start really low.. no more than 30 ) sort of reboot my brain .. To begin with I get a bit of anxiety and faces and my vision in general get distorted. Then on about the 3rd or 4th trip after about a fortnight no matter how many I take my vision is chrystal clear, ultra colourful of course and absolutely no chance of anxiety. I've found my mental health really improves for around 6 months afterwards. As if the cobwebs have been cleared away. This is based on about 7 good seasons.
 
There is so many mushrooms here, I'm not picking them though, just letting nature do it's thing.
