I will try to keep this a little harm reduction oriented.

~24 hours ago I got my hands 2 bags of dope. So around ~200mg but have no clue actually.

Now I am a semi-regular user of oxycodone, or small other things I get my hands on. I vary often with my usage generally going 2-10 weeks or longer with no opiate usage in-between 1-3 day mini binges lol. I've been able to read the things on this forum long enough and know there is really no "cut and dry" way of using opiates X amount of times a week, or even month. If your counting the days in-between doses to not get addicted it's only a matter of time until it develops into a more serious problem, because there already is one; however small it may be.

24 hours ago I snorted the first bag, half and half up each nostril. A couple hours ago I just snorted the 2nd bag. It had the same old 'vinegar' smell and I have friends who are regular users, sometimes IV and was with a friend who IV'd this same dope. Each time right after I snorted my sinus's swelled right up more then they ever had with any pharmecutical opiate (oxycodone/oxymorphone IR), and had much more of a burn to it. I use anywhere from 15-60mg of oxycodone when I do use it. My mouth felt very weird, I was salivating more then normal. I would sound like I was sick when talking, and it seemed like my nose was 90% clogged. After 5-10 minutes everything was normal and I ofcourse was still high. It just didn't seem normal. My real question is if any of that is normal, because it didn't seem so with my friends. I am curious if I am possibly slightly allergic to any of the cut in it or something. I am not looking for any sort of ID, but would just like to know how normal of an experience this was so I can relate to it in the future. It would be nice to know if it isn't; not that I plan on touching it again anytime soon.

I don't get why you felt the need to post photos? Especially if you are, as you say, not looking for drug ID. Generally it's best not to post incriminating evidence or what seems to be glorification of drug use, like photos, without good reason.

I just want to remind anyone who replies to this post to stick solely to the issue of whether or not the effects whippa cracka experienced are common with heroin and not start speculating on whether the dope was real or cut or what drug/ingredient might cause those effects etc. If it gets into drug ID territory or into pure speculation it will get closed.

In my experience salivating more than normal is not common, in fact I would usually salivate less than normal. I've never had a "weird" mouth feeling, except feeling dry. If by sounding "sick" when you spoke you mean sounding hoarse or stuffed up, I have not experienced that either. Nor have I experienced swollen sinuses or a highly clogged nose, although granted I don't have that much personal experience with snorting it (as opposed to other ROAs).

Those symptoms do sound like a possible allergic reaction, although, if that was the case (which I of course can't know for sure), there is no way to guess whether it could be to a cut or to heroin itself. There are some people who are allergic to one opioid and not others, although severe anaphylaxis from a pure opiate/opioid is quite rare. Please be careful if you do heroin again in the future and make sure you have someone else around just in case you do have a serious allergic reaction. Heroin is known to cause a histamine release, which usually manifests as itchiness, but IIRC the histamine release is normally much less pronounced when heroin is not injected. It's possible you could be especially sensitive to the histamine release, but it usually causes symptoms like itching, hives and flushed skin, not the symptoms you described. The symptoms you described are not listed anywhere I could find as common/normal side effects of heroin. Maybe some others who have a lot of experience with snorting can tell you if they've experienced what you described though.

I appreciate it.

Right after insufflation when I would talk it sounded as if my nose might of well plugged shut. It abnormally swelled and burned inside. The weird feeling in my mouth was a pressure along the roof of my mouth leading all the way to the drip in the back. Even before I got a drip I was salivating heavily. All these effects went away within about 5-10 minutes thinking about it, not the 30-60 minutes I originally posted. From that point on everything was perfectly normal as an opiate, including the dry mouth.

I was hoping somebody would be able to point something out from the pix, but I guess not, I'll take them down.

I know no IDs here swim, you know I know the rules. But I just think its impossible to separate these two things. If he is not experiencing effects that are in any way, shape or form common (or even possible) to heroin, then it leads to the inference that it is not, well, heroin.

Having said all of that, my nose always got clogged when I snorted stuff, be it roxis, heroin, cut heroin, etc. It always would get "clogged" or swollen & inflamed. I think that is just inherent when you put a foreign substance up your nose. I have terrible allergies to some foods, medicines, and any/all plants/animals, and an allergic reaction has never "plugged shut" my nose instantly upon happening. What HAS done that is sniffing, anything.

Now an allergic reaction would have you become red and possibly develop hives; it would have you itching, similar to an opiates; your nose running, similar to withdrawal. It would have you sneezing, eyes watery & red, and you would feel slightly tired. My source on this is having allergies so severe my entire life that I have seen an allergist since I was age 10, and received allergy shots for a decade. I know precisely what an allergic reaction feels like, because I used to have 5 shots given to me weekly in order to induce an allergic reaction and build up a tolerance to said allergy. Allergy shots really teach you precisely what an allergic reaction feels like, both systemically as well as locally at the site where the allergen was introduced.

All are effects that could be attributable to heroin itself. Considering that you didn't feel any of these things strongly, I will myself postulate that it was NOT an allergic reaction, but a regular ol' reaction to whatever the hell was in there.

Could I be wrong? Absolutely. I am not a doctor. If you are truly concerned, take some of the powder to an allergist, tell them its in some makeup you have to wear or some stupid excuse, and they will do a prick/spot test with said material to see if you are truly allergic. This involves applying the substance(s) to a sort of....needle if you will, but it does NOT inject it. It simply breaks your skin, akin to the poke a diabetic gets from testing his levels, except even LESS deep (hopefully drawing no blood if done perfectly). When the substance is applied to said needle, because the skin is 'broken,' it will create a localized allergic reaction (red, swollen bump, hives, itchy, etc.) and the more allergic you are, the more obvious the reaction is.

You can simulate this on your own if you have a sterile needle or diabetic tester, and the substance. Simply sterilize the tool and apply a bit of the heroin to it, sterilize your skin with an alcohol swab (thoroughly in both instances), prick your skin with the needle containing the substance (literally, prick, do not INSERT, do not go deep, prick so you barely break the skin, NO BLOOD!), and wait 30-60 minutes. A reaction indicates an allergy.

I have read some people on this site advising to do an allergen test by consuming a tiny amount of the substance. This is foolish because if you are extremely allergic to something, even a minute amount will cause a wide systemic reaction; this is the best way to do an allergen test because it will only create a localized, surface reaction. Hence the reason I have written this up: if someone DOES recommend that (Which no one should) then you know that it is not even close to the best approach of "testing for an allergen".

Once again, I recommend having a doctor do the prick test, but its very simple and thats how its done. And, again, I do not believe you're even allergic to it. But if you want to find out and not have to see a doctor, thats the way to go.
