How Are You In One Word v. I got a feelin'

Well...we were supposed to hang out friday (well he'd invited me over to his room, so I took that as a good sign...) but in the end he cancelled it because he was stuck at uni longer than he expected. So he said he'd make it up to me this week-end but last night he asked me if I wanted to go play pool with him and a few other people so i wonder if that was his way of making up - and he's sending really mixed signals, either he's just extremely friendly or he is indeed interested and I can't figure it out. :(
 
Pagey, it drives me nuts when guys send mixed signals as well. I'm single, not really trying to get emotionally involved with anybody because of how badly I was burned in my last relationship. But it would be nice to find someone fun. The whole 'damsel in distress' vibe I'm giving off lately is only attracting douchebags. How nice it would be if I could just find the right one. It's about time.

Me: relieved. I have finally gotten enough money saved to get MY OWN APARTMENT WITH NO ONE ELSE (except visitors I invite). I'm trying to find one without a 12-month lease in the neighborhood I like best (near school, work and friends), and I have gotten some awesome leads to places I am seeing tomorrow. 2 out of 3 will allow Chloe if I ever get her back :( A friend from school also wants to rent a room in his house which he actually owns. So, also busy.

Lolwut? :\ You should try being on our side of the fence Sconnie. Trust me, us blokes are simple creatures, easily pleased with just a few very basic necessities in life. You girlies on the other hand passeth all understanding . . . . . ;)

Aw, how cool for you TAOW. Being an uncle ROCKS! :D And yeah, I know what you mean about the dope sick / sober thing. Just having my nephews in the world is kinds spurring me on with the whole sobriety thing here cos I don't wanna be like some of the uncles I had growing up.

I'm good. Somewhat bored though. Sober's great and all but damn, what do you do of a weekend? Pffffft! ;)

We all,send mixed messages it seems and the culprit is that no one wants to let everything show in the beginning because we are afraid of getting hurt. I remember once watching a group of junior high kids waiting outside a dance. The girls were in one knot and the boys in another. Everyone was trying to pretend they were focused on their gender group but really they were all hyper aware of the other. Every now and then one brave boy would try to say something to the girls and they would all act really nonchalant and aloof as if they had no interest at all. Then the poor boy (probably scarred for at least the next 4 years if not life would melt back into his group and the tension would start again. I thought that it is absolutely amazing that our species ever actually gets together to procreate! We don't make it easy for the guys, ladies.

Having and raising boys gave me so much empathy into their perspective.<3
 
Well general speaking it's alot easier for a woman to get a guy then the other way around. Most women i know even say that. Finding a decent guy however seems to be a problem for alot of women i know though :\ . Then again when it comes to women my standards are fairly high as well. Though some would argue otherwise :p . It is one thing that actually seems to get easier with age thankfully :)
 
Theres no such thing as "perfect person". Only "the perfect one for you". And dont treat every relationship as if youre looking for "the one". Makes things way too complicated.
 
Is there one specific word to say 'I have a gigantic crush and we kissed hehehehe but we're not sure whether or not to get together so I'm sad about that'?
