Test?

To me, the act of thinking ONLY involves language.
When I am going about mundane tasks - using "thoughts" - I do not consider myself to be thinking.
If one credits themselves with "thinking" whilst they are eating a sandwich or watching the football, they are thinking on a different level to me.

^the level of thought you are aware of is only the tip of the iceberg. the great majority of thought does not come in the form of verbal language at all. think deeply about how conversations run, when talking to someone in person, do you stop to consider each response? you don't, because you are able to response with articulate answered intuitively.

if anything, i reckon the parts that are verbal language are those thoughts one has little confidence to strong doubt over. ths is what motivates such cautious mental analysis as to verbalise it in one's mind.

a tiny part of a bigger mechanism - yes
the most important or functional part of this mechanism - no

Keep it up

I can't keep quiet when I see an injustice -- freedom defined is freedom denied, man.
