I am a 54 year old female and i just moved in with my parents again 3 months ago. I get a check because of numerous medical issues but live here anyway...I feel safe and secure. I am an attractive petite full of personality person and i could have a boyfriend if i looked for one....where do i meetsomeone who would be interested in a girl in my situation?? I seem to handle things fine as long as i have my meds....which is no prob so far...but Im lonely and embarrassed...at least youre not alone right?

Yea but I don't live w my parent anymore. I live in my car. But there are a bunch of cool people in the parking lot at night we hang out after 10pm till 6am when we have to leave till the next night. It's kind of sad with some of the older people, I need to get a job, I don't get a check.

That really sucks.
Try using a placement agency, they have good connections for employment and can really help out. Sure worked for me.
Try googling the most reputable one in your area.

Good luck

I live in a shared house with a few mates.

Shit man, that really sucks. How long have you been living in your car for? Have you looked into emergency housing/ sheltering schemes? The waiting lists can be long, but they are definitely worth a shot. If you need quick work/ experience temp work online/ job temp agencies are a lifesaver. I really hope you sort something out.

I'll try the temp agency in the morning just got back to my car, I'm next to a train track and and 45mph speed limit sign best wifi I can find anywhere. Maybe all the metal is helping me get this sweet wifi connect.
Thanks for the info. Really appreciate it.

Iv been living back with my dad and his wife for the past 2 years. good choice on my part my old roommate/best friend just attempted murder 2 days ago strung out on opiates and what ever other "easy" drug he could get his hands on, sad shit. I lived by myself and with friends for 2 years and decided to move back when my dad really wanted me to, i was strung out myself but have gathered myself since. My father wont kick me out he knows it'd make things a lot harder on me which would just lead to bad things, doesn't mean i can be a loose cannon though. im currently saving up to get my own place, straightening my life out.

21 and yes I still live with my parents.

@OP: Sorry to hear that, that sucks man. I hope you get back on your feet!

I moved back in with my parents in February due to alcohol and financial problems (went to rehab mid-February through early March). It has definitely allowed me to put my life back together and it's nice to have a place to rest my head, but I'm looking to move out as soon as I can get a job that pays enough.

17 and living on the streets. pretty fucking difficult. but im making a good bit of money right now so hopefully be moved in somewhere soon

homeless -> dc

alasdair
LOL. Can't even stay at the same home or discussion:).

I thought homeless was about homeless bluelighters at first too. I thought ,"Damn, they've really got harm-reduction covered." Of course this was before Wi-Fi and cellphones with internet was common, was kind of :?.

I think this is a good thread. I also wondered about homeless bluelighters. It presents it's own problems compared to having a roof over your head.

I moved back home with my parents cuz i blew all my finances on h last year. Shit blows but i can bring females over so its alright i guess.
