Stimulants Kratom for meth withdraw?

I took a happy kratom pill today and it dramatically reduced methamphetamine cravings. Has anyone else tryed this? I have read kratom is very addicting.... but I am already addicted to meth so I'm kinda laughing the risk off...

Yes, I used it for coke, magic, 0 interest in drugs or booze. And now that i have started meth ill use it there as well. Just dont get used to using them together though, decent combo

Meth w/d is not that bad. Man up and go through it, you do not need an opiate to cover up an emotional w/d the physiological w/d effects aren't significant enough to warrant a tapering agent.

I smoke around a gram of meth every day I have gone through meth withdraw cold turkey plenty of times. I started smoking while I was in the 3rd grade and I'm 21 years old now. I doubt you have even smoked more then a gram of in week so don't tell me what meth w/d is like let me know when you are hotrailing half grams to the dome and smoking teeners in one sitting. I have flushed more dope down the drain cleaning out my pipes then most tweakers get to do in there whole life. I have a fleet of fending dolphins off the cost of sanamonica. I am not trying to quit I am simply cutting back and I don't want to feel sleepy all day I already have anodesia the emotional withdraw dont bother me its the physical withdraw I get cold sweats and loose consciousness suddenly without warning around the first 48 hours till about a week after the last dose. The kratom seems to get rid of those w/ds.

You have no idea buddy. I've gone through hundreds of dollars of meth in a 36 hour time period. It's best not to make assumptions. Ive gone through amphetamine addiction as well. Your cravings aren't physiologically significant. The medical benefit from taking a physically addicting substance as a substitute for a drug that has no appreciable dangers from withdrawal is unnecessary. Go to a therapy group, counselor, or a psychologist. Not a drug.

Another great thing about Kratom is the stimulation and motivation/desire to do something like work, could help with energy issues after stims. Also the idea is to help with addiction by reducing cravings, not dealing with feeling shit. Just read the DS meth recovery thread, seems far from "not that bad". Additionally a big problem stopping is that often you dont want to stop, still enjoy it etc, going to nothing is diificult. It really helped me substituting for a lesser evil since i dont really want to stop all use and find value in an occasional chemical release

Anti psychotics seroquel have also helped for comedowns, panic, bad trips and addiction (by dosing when craving kills any chance of stims working, no point in buying)

Well I've been addicted to both kratom and various stimulants. There just isn't enough discomfort and danger from meth w/d to substitute addictions. Have fun being butt hurt

kratom isn't very addicting. If you have the option to trade being addicted to meth and being addicted to kratom then chose kratom. I hate when people say don't trade one addiction for another. If the other addiction works better for you and is less harmful then do it. I've never really been addicted to any stimulant, just a binge user but i've used quite a bit of kratom. If it works for you then do it and don't look back. Kratom may cause a dependence but it's along the lines of codeine, so not a big deal IMO.

^ kratom is an addicting opioid. You will have worse w/d symptoms from chronic kratom use than with meth. Methamphetamine has negligible physiological w/d symptoms. Facts.

You do know that Codiene can have just as serious w/d as any other opioid if used chronically in high doses, right?

I smoked H for a few years and smoked roxys as well opioid addiction never bothered me with enough meth the come down from opioids can suck my balls I don't even feel it and I have smoked more then enough H to where I should have had w/d other then my knees hurting a little like growing pains wich I get from meth withdraw more so then opioid withdraw anyway I don't see the big deal about opioid or cocaine w/d. I have never injected anything in my life so I have no idea what slamming meth or H could do to you I heard slamming any H from NY would probably kill me its so potent but I use so much meth I honestly can say unless I hit the blood toxicity level to die chemicly I can not overdose and die from some punk ass panic attack. I'v attempted suicide by O/D and smoked a 1/4 an oz to my dome and two hours later I was eating pizza (edit: 1/4 an oz is 4times what they say will cause a meth overdose and I'm not super man id seen people hotrail 2 grams in 1 minute and feel fine).... Meth addiction is all in the mind I agree that H addiction is dangerous because you could DIE just as achohol addiction but I am from Los Angeles people out here dont get hooked on H we all smoke crack and speed out here.

Thank you RobotRipping are there any negitive effects while using Kratom as there are with meth? I am on day 3 or 4 now and I am sleeping normally though I don't feel like staying up late is hard, Im hungry as hell but I am always hungry lmao and basically I feel something I have not felt in a long time. I feel normal? This kratom is seeming to good to be true my dick is not gonna fall off is it?

BL isn't a place for dicksizing. I'm glad you don't get bothered by opioid w/d or get panic attacks. In the interest of harm reduction, it's best to just tough it out w/ the meth w/d. I posted something about therapy because it can be really helpful. The expressed purpose for this forum is to reduce harm. Don't get your jimmies rustled when someone is trying to save you addiction, money, etc. We are all entitled to our opinions, as long as they are based on scientific and medical fact.

You probably feel goo because you are high on kratom alkaloids. Like I said, you won't want to stop since you aren't attempting cessation or to taper. You're just substituting for a speedy opioid buzz.

end of day 3 and I used no meth or Kratom today! I will give you all an update tomorrow on how I am doing. I don't have a "need" urge to use meth or Kratom physicly I have a slight psychological "want" to smoke meth but I feel as if it is just out of habit but I feel like I would 3 or 4 months after dropping dope. I think I found a way to maybe not kick meth in 3 days but a way to turn 3 months into 3 days or so it seems I am about 24 hours off any drugs other then 2 beers. this is kinda crazy I have kicked meth a few times but never like this I was gonna go smoke some shit with a friend but I am feeling good right now I think I am gonna stay sober and see how that goes.

Sorry I have a bit of a IDGAF attitude that shines through when I feel people are telling me how I am or how I am gonna be. Thanks for the congratulations. I have been up for.... about 7 hours now and not drowsy or unmotivated as I usually am coming off meth its 10:39 feel like hitting bed around 12:30ish as I was up till 3am last night (there was a street festive thing out front of my house). I started getting board so I took half of the kratom I took the past two times and now I'm just drinking beer, smoking weed and fucking around on my DJ set up. It seems can scratch and dj alot better not on meth imo So my focus and alertness is great . Kratom w/d worse or not I really hope that taking your warning for granted is not gonna make my dick fall off because coming across this Kratom shit is seeming to be one of the best things to happen to me in a long time (other then LSD finding me). I have not gone with out meth (and not wanting any) in years! I thought this last relapse was gonna be the last and I was just gonna be a functioning tweaker forever lmfao!

@entheo: i really don't think kratom has a severe withdrawal at all, it's like getting the shits for a few days and that's about it. I've come off high doses of kratom and codeine without any issues at all. It's hardly addicting as in creating negative effects in your life but i guess that is variable. It is far less harmful psychologically and physically than methamphetamine, by a long shot, so if you can trade a meth addiction for a kratom addiction (dependence) then i would do it.

kratom won't make your dick fall off, it may kill your sex drive over time though. As long as you aren't going broke and stealing to support your kratom habit then it's not really a big deal IMO, there are certainly worse things to take every day like methamphetamine. The only real negative effects from kratom are getting sick from taking too much, slight withdrawal if you decide to quit abruptly and constipation.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Obtaining an opioid addiction will likely lead to consuming more potent compounds in the future. Meth is neurotoxic, but the wd is neglegible. I don't consider fiending and being tired to be wd.
If you become dependent on kratom, you'll be feeling extremely shitty for a week or until you redoes. At either rate, considering BL's mission, we shouldn't be advocating one addiction of another.

Meth is a highly flammable chemical made with very toxic ingredients Kratom is natural and non toxic no overdoses have ever been recorded. So I'd advocate kratom addiction over meth addiction any day. Also meth has physical withdraws. no I will not die from quitting meth cold turky but I go through episodes comparable to a diabetic without insulin.... I'll get over heated and sweat uncontrollably then I start to feel like I am freezing and covered in sweat. I could have died when I collapsed in an alleyway behind my house maybe if I hit my head but I DO get physical w/d from methamphetamine. I smoked black tar heroin for a while then switched to roxys and eventually stopped as I already use meth and I dont have the cash to support both addictions so I chose meth. The W/d was not to bad as I was doped up on a lot of meth but kicking oxy or any opi never bothers me like meth will. You are making Kratom W/d sound exactly the same as meth W/D to me and not like H withdraw. With H or oxys my joints just hurt like I have growing pains but I get that 10 times as bad from meth w/d anyway.

100's of people die from meth I haven't heard of a single Kratom death. Thus I'd say is harm prevention not just harm reduction.

4th day no meth I have not dosed with Kratom yet tho I kinda want to but no more so then I want to use meth I feel tired and weak but not nearly as bad as a normal comedown this is very tolerable I'm just laying down listening to music and eating tacos and Doritos.... I am gonna half dose of kratom again its keeping me off meth and the comedown is chill...
