Festivals 2012

^ Yeah, managing it pretty well. When I feel the positive effects starting to diminish after 3 days on it I break for the rest of the week. So basically I'm doing it fri, sat & sun & then breaking mon-thurs.

My main reason for doing it this way is because whenever I continued into Day 4 (the Monday!) I not only got diminshing positive effects but also pronounced negative effects such as slight edgyness, going very quiet & not having any desire to talk or communicate with people, a feeling of emptiness that was most likely caused by the drug acting on highly diminished dopamine levels & also the realisation that continuing into day 4 was just a waste of good cocaine & money.

The break from mon-thurs replenishes the brain enough to be blown away by small thumbnail size lines again come the weekend, thus saving money & getting the best effects from the drug (which IMO happens when converted to cocaethylene).

Sorry for completely derailing the thread! 8(

Anyone going to Electric Picnic check out this girl....

just wrote about a 1000 word rundown of my wend but it didnt post so im fucked if im going to do it again, just to say what a fucking week, meeting all the BLers at sunflower with the mixture of pills 2cs acid nos 6apb then onto belfast for two amazing gigs.

the foo fighters put on a 2hr 30min show that blew me away the the Stone Roses gig while they weren't a patch on the foos yet still enjoyed it more and laft the gig one happy druggie.

Glad you enjoyed sunflower! I have no idea how you managed to do t-vital aswell you nut ahah. It was nearly 10 miles from my area and I could still hear it, must have been LOUD!

Looks like some good Psytrance and Reggae festivals are gonah be happening again soon around here like the last one back in June. Small but good trippy times. :)

^Had friends there and apparently tents were floating away on about 4-5ft of festival water.

Was working there, had to keep calling ambulances for people doing DVD lines of 'ketamine' and getting seizures, other than that It was raining to fuck so much that there were rivers separating campsites, the main arena was fucked so much that stages were floating away, it was impossible to get out of the south exit and arena entrance without chest high mud, everyone's tents were fucked from water. Was Pretty fucked watching all this go down though :)

I warned my friends not to go to creamfields because of the unfriendly crowds of drunk dickheads and piss poor atmosphere. They didn't listen and im guessing they wish they did now! HAH!

How did you go about getting work at festivals? I understand it will probably be voluntary if your like one of the guys at the front but did you go on any courses or anything at all?

I was working on the bar. You can apply through the main website, you want to give in an application wayy in advance. The shifts are pretty long.. I did overtime but worked from half 9 till half 3 (when the tent got flooded) with an hour break. Such a shame Sunday was cancelled! I still stayed till Monday and partied though. I've never seen so many buzzing people in my life haha.

For stewarding and other bar positions you can apply through Festaff. You put a £150 deposit down, work the Fri and Sat morning and then get the rest of the festival off and your deposit back at the end.

I was working on the bar...

eh 9:30-3:30 is about 6 hours short of what I regularly work 8)

that really doesn't sound bad at all, I guess you have past bar experience (when I turn 18 I'll be on the bar every day at work, unfortunately on the wrong side). Do you know if the stewards have to have like basic first aid courses and stuff?

No, though it is advantageous.

I meant 9.30am till 3.30am lol.. not 3.30pm, that would be a piss easy shift! :P It was fun though, but pretty hectic. Especially when the bar got flooded and all the tills went down..

Yeah past bar experience definitely helps, although my friend got the job without any. The volunteering people will pretty much take anyone one. You don't have to have first aid experience but it does help with your application. Just make sure you hand it in early and boost up any experience you have.
