^nah, moan all you want because that sucks. I look around me and see some of my friends making it through this recession without even noticing it and some of my friends plunged from comfort to poverty in one fell swoop. We are somewhere in the middle, having had our income cut in about half but at least we still have one. Worrying about bills you can't pay and feeling absolutely stuck in your circumstances just feels like shit.

@MoE--that sounds great--hope it goes the way you want it to.

me: energized. I started working out a lot more to stave off depression last spring and I have to say, I feel so much better.

Nostalgic in that melancholy autumn-is-coming way. It happens every fall. The light starts getting thinner looking and more golden. In pagan times in the northern countries they believed that autumn was when the veil between the two worlds (the world of the physical and that of the spirits) is the thinnest. I can see where this comes from, watching the subtle changes in the light.

I can't decide if I will miss autumn yet. Unfortunately I think I will. I was watching a movie the other day with people bundled up in sweaters and scarves around a fireplace. It made me very nostalgic. I didn't think I would miss it, but I think I'm going to this year. :\
 
heart broken

only the other week I realized how in love I am with my best friend, and she's moved 12 hours away for the next 6 months.
I don't know what I'll be able to do. Anyone have advice? I've never felt so empty, never missed someone this much.
 
@fakeplastictrees--Yay! You are back! Where have you been? I'm sorry about your friend moving away but 6 months is not too bad. My recommendations are Skype and MSN videochats.
