It does tend to go down some days for unknown reasons although I do find that if your on the site for long periods of time it does tend to time out.

It looks like ordering ANYTHING from Holland is now a huge risk for Aussies especially with lots of orders not arriving.

Thanks again Silk Road for fucking things up.

But its stupid ordering stuff from overseas because it will have to go though customs right?
So best to buy from Australian people only I would think.

^ I would think so too. There will always be some people who are willing to take the risk to get those very strong pills that they seem to have so many of over there tho.

Better off saving $$'s for a while and going over there for a holiday I would imagine lol.

I have never ordered anything from SR and I dont intend to start. I personally think the place is infested with LE, buyers coming and going, sellers getting busted and who's to say they delete your address or messages after a purchase? one seller even posted the personal details of a customer on his sellers page because the customer pissed him off. People ordering absolutely STUPID amounts, literally feeding LE enough information to track down either them or the seller, or at the least a general idea of where packages are sent from giving LE a heads up to check the mail from those parts more thoroughly, hence Holland now a no-go.

The general population of SR users have absolutely NO IDEA and will feed like greedy pigs in swill, until it collapses in on itself, they will then go back to scoring a stick at the local pub, or another similar site pops up and some stupid journalist plasters it all over the internet bringing the idiots out in force again.

I will say that Ive heard people had a LOT more luck ordering the odd personal amount until SR reared its ugly head.

Removed a couple of posts. Please refrain from discussion of your current use of the site, this thread is for general discussion about TSR :)

I don't know about this... from my perusal of the forums, they appear to contain the standard mix - some careful, well-informed people; others not so well-informed. (Our beloved Bluelight also has this mix.) They appear to be concerned about their security and methods and how to minimise risk - again, not everyone, but many of them discuss these concerns...

To be honest Tronica the people using SR have improved somewhat over the last couple of months in the ways you mention, previous to that they didnt.

Before the Gawker article SR was mostly full of like minded people who had been in or around that scene for a while so most of them knew how to play the game, as soon as the Gawker article appeared the quality of the members spiralled downwards with literally 1000's of people joining up over a short period of time. People openly baiting LE, giving so many details away blah blah blah.

The damage has been done now though, and like Ive said before, ordering drugs off the internet is now more risky than it ever was thanks in part to SR and THAT Gawker article

Some very interesting data for SR, I think some of you will enjoy reading

We perform a comprehensive measurement analysis of Silk Road, an anonymous, international online marketplace that operates as a Tor hidden service and uses Bitcoin as its exchange currency. We gather and analyze data over eight months between the end of 2011 and 2012, including daily crawls of the marketplace for nearly six months in 2012. We obtain a detailed picture of the type of goods being sold on Silk Road, and of the revenues made both by sellers and Silk Road operators. Through examining over 24,400 separate items sold on the site, we show that Silk Road is overwhelmingly used as a market for controlled substances and narcotics. A relatively small "core" of about 60 sellers has been present throughout our measurement interval, while the majority of sellers leaves (or goes "underground") within a couple of weeks of their first appearance. We evaluate the total revenue made by all sellers to approximately USD 1.9 million per month; this corresponds to about USD 143,000 per month in commissions perceived by the Silk Road operators. We further show that the marketplace has been operating steadily, with daily sales and number of sellers overall increasing over the past few months. We discuss economic and policy implications of our analysis and results, including ethical considerations for future research in this area

So DPR is making some HUGE money!!!!

Here you go, she posted it herself
It's a shame you felt nervous, I think you did well regardless, but I do wonder how you would have done if you felt relaxed. I wonder if I could spin that into using a small dose of something to loosen up as HR because more people would learn more? ;)

Which person was Tronica? Nothing new was mentioned during that 7 minutes, *Yawn* Of course there will be health risks and also financial risks. U can say that about just about everything.

^ the link was noted due to the appearance of longtime bluelighter and important australian drug researcher monica barratt on another mass media piece on the subject of the silk road marketplace.
have you read anything in this thread you keep posting in? have you really come this far (and contributed repeatedly) without grasping the purpose of he thread?! wow.

There are better/more deserving people here to pick a fight with spacejunk.

not picking fights - just baffled that experienced bluelighters post their opinions on threads they've either not read, or not understood. less a fight than a bemused, sardonic remark.

as for the other arguments/s - they hardly seem getting into.

people can speculate all they like on the causes/impacts/implications of encrypted blackmaket websites gaining publicity, but in the end it is simply that; speculation. i don't have an opinion or a personal interest except for watching this whole phenomena develop. logged on to TOR/SR out of curiosity's sake, but that's as far as i'm likely to go. tempting as the whole thing is, it's a step further in illegality and risk than i'm prepared to chance for any manner of sacrament.

as for its security, survival, integrity...sure it is an interesting topic, but not something i have anything other than an academic interest in. anarchic liberatarian cyber punks rendering the prohibition of drugs little more than an overpriced, overhyped redundant joke? brilliant!

but unless i've missed something and there is worthwhile conversation going on that my [high on life] addled mind is missing, i don't have much to add to this 'fight' :)

You use your own address and not a drop? That is REALLY not wise. Do you know what a controlled delivery is and how to spot one?

Well, im not exaclty ordering kilos here mate...
And i suspect the reason its working time and time again, is because the cops simply have bigger fish to fry - I have no criminal convictions in my past or anything like that, so you tell me - what the worst that can happen to me if they decide for some reason to investigate 0.2 grams of 'whatever' they find addressed to my apartment block under a fake name? Should I be expecting a swat team in a van parked across the street next time I check the my mail?
Are they just letting me collect all these packages containing pissweak amounts of drugs while they have me under surveillance because they are gathering eveidence for their investigation to throw me in prison?
I dont think so, not when they have to much of this (http://www.theage.com.au/nsw/ice-drug-bust-worth-50m-police-20110505-1e9hp.html) going on to worry about little ol me..
But hey i could be wrong - if i am ill try and update from prison ok?
Cheers

Yeah... There's probably more chance of getting busted at a rave or festival if you have shit on you. Especially if what drugs?????//// is only getting small amounts and domestically.

lol - Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing. ?! what.

If your breaking the law we don't want to know about it here. That is not what Bluelight is for.

But yes that is exactly how they do it. I suggest you need to do some more research.

That is until Customs do their regular operation where they open everything anyway. They do this about once a year. The last one was domestic mail about 12 months ago so we are due.....
