Lisa Simpson blow job day is finally here =D

This is a thread to celebrate the Olympics so the naysayers can fook off.

I'm really looking forward to it all. I haven't got any tickets cos I'm not very good at sitting in one place for any length of time but I might take a trip into London next weekend just to soak up the atmosphere.

I'm well up for it, I'm not big on sports at all and never usually watch it at all, TV or live but I always watch the Olymoics and the World Cup.

I have tickets for the Athletics at the Paralympics coz I'm a bit damaged at the mo:) and the diving for the main Olympics, I'm taking my daughter I hope it's something she can remember.

Watching the football last night it was very boring, it was like worse than a pre-season game. Anyway there's a girl in the GB gymnastics team who was in my class at high school, didnt realise till I saw her in the paper the other day, know she won bronze at the commonwealth though so might give that a watch, other than that what evers on the TV at the time ill probably watch, unless its something like running 5000m.

I'm looking forward to The games as well . The money has been spent so it's pointless arguing over where it could have gone it's done.

I'm a Sports fan in general so i tend to get in to things that previously i wouldn't know much about. The teenage 100m runner Adam Gemil , that's an interesting story & i would love it if he got to the final & gave some of The Jamaicans & yanks a run for their money .

Team GB were poor in the football last night but i don't really expect that much from a team managed by Stuart Pearce ( great player ) tactically inept coach.

We did really well in the last games & if we can surpass that medal tally then i really think it will be quite an acomplishment.

Dunno if any of you have been watching "Twenty Twelve " the spoof Olympic show ?
Well we have already had our 1st moment with The Korean Flag debacle . If you are going to mess up one flag then i would say that the North Korean one has to be up their with the most sensitive of the lot !!

I've got some good memories of Olympic moments like Daley winning Gold in 80 and 84 . Steve Ovet getting his Gold in Moscow only for that other Guy to then get one a few days later in the 1500m who is that guy , i swear he is like some big time charlie these days;)

So yeah i'm going to enjoy it i think .

There's so much hype around the 100m's I don't think you can not watch it. Bolt cracks me up, he's so arrogant it's hilarious! Yesterday on the news he said "Y'know, people say i'm a legend, well I think if I win this one I will be a legend." Then the reporter said are you fit and healthy (or something like that), and he put a serious face on and said "Y'know, I wouldn't say i'm perfectly fit. Maybe 95%, so that should be enough." Haha. Can't wait. I will watch the diving too, I like the diving and there is always an outside chance Tom Daley will have a horrible accident.

9pm tonight. Sounds like it's gonna be spectacular, and so it should for £27m. Over half the people on earth will be watching. That's unbelievable 8o

I can't get into Olympic football cos the Olympics is supposed to be about the absolute best in the world and I can watch better in the Premier League each each.

Yep, couldn't have picked a better country to do it to!

Victoria Pendleton, I'll be watching her very closely!
I've always loved the Olympics just due to the sheer number of things happening daily. The fact that it's on home soil this year is neither here nor there for me really but I suppose it's a good thing for the economy. I just hope we don't have an incident that's related to the shambles surrounding the G4S group, because that would be fucking awful.

Anyway, go Team GB!

I don't think having more people on minimum wage bimbling round in high vis vests is really going to protect us, it's just a deterent more than anything.

And cos of unionised fukknobs we're all paying shit loads more to anyone involved in transport for the games, even though they are already paid way too much. But they aren't being opportunistic apparently...8) As the public we can't win, can we?!

yeah i get you but lets stop that chat right here ok .

After all if we want to pan the Olympics their is another thread for that . From what i can gather this is about The actual Sport n lets try and keep it like that ?

True true, who are the GB people to look out for? I can't really feel any pride from the cycling, cus we just win that because most countries with superior athletes don't have the resources!

Their are the obvious ones that you can find out about in any Olympic Supplement that they will be giving away with Newspapers i expect other than that i suggest you have a watch and see what tickles your fancy !

Someone was theorising to me the other day that the army have been drafted in because of some credible threat or other and that the G4S 'scandal' is a cover story. Actually sounds reasonably plausible compared to some of the conspiracies surrounding it....

Didn't mean to derail the thread - my bad.
My tips for gold:
Wiggo - Time Trial
Jess Ennis - Heptathlon - Really hope she does this
Rebecca Adlington - swimming
Mo Farah - one gold hopefully
And loads of sailing, rowing and cycling medals.

What have the Chinese been beasting their athletes in in particular over the last 4 years? I reckon they're gonna try and get loads more than last time.
