fuck me, benzos and drink feel great at the time but it's not a good thing in the long run.

I awoke, what, a whole day later, thinking I'd gone to bed and slept it off. Then I get in the kitchen. The freezer door is open, and everything is frosting over. There seems to be broken glass everywhere. I find my AMT stash but it's not intact, in fact I'd prepared to plug what looks like half a gram but then sanity or drug fuckedness must have stepped in to protect me.


On a nicer note I awoke to the most amazing parcel I have ever received <3 seriously nothing beats this parcel! And a lovely PM too. Thank you two!

Happy midday everyone, I just withdrew money from pokerstars :D you were all slightly correct, I only managed to keep £450 of it but that is still a good amount and is going to help me out tons this month, has still saved my month.

How's everyone else doing today?

I'm eagerly awaiting mail, looking outside at the door everytime I hear a noise at all hoping for my druggles.
 
I've been expecting a non-drug related package that was definitely sent on tuesday, but I haven't had any post since tuesday... not even bills or letters for people who used to live here. I have no idea what's going on? Is there some sort of postal worker shortage or something? My new postman has made a few strange mix ups lately, like my neighbours and i just exchange each others letters after he's done posting them through random letter boxes. I think it might be the DMT?

lol, it's happened before. Is there any reason why I wouldn't receive post for a few days on the trot? At my old house once they'd intercepted a parcel from an Amsterdam trip and I didn't get any post for a week after that.
 
it'll be the modernisation programme, probably happening at your office.

Fuckks up everything for a few weeeks but RM won't admit it, keep rotating postmen who don't know the rounds, many rounds, or parts of rounds don't get delivered for days at a time, parcels and packets beck up in the office as no spare vans/people to do it. Normally takes about 6 months to settle down properly.

if it's happened before, this might be a revision of the modernisation.

If you're really unlucky your round might have been "lapsed" for the summer. This means that as in the summer mail is a lot lighter, offices now leave 1,2,3 rounds without a postie, and try to persuade posties who finish their rounds to then do part of the lapsed one. Problem is everyones rounds are too long, so usually 50% of the office at least won't have time to do their lapse.

Cheers for the insider info, that makes a lot of sense. I wondered why a postman wouldn't just put all of his letters in his house and take the day off, then deliver a double lot the next day, if he were so inclined. Do they check up much? I'm guessing they simply don't bother.

Jesus yeah, people get rumbled all the time for it. If you don't have time to do your lapse, you tell the manager first and leave it in the office, or you bring it back, dump it on the managers desk, and swan out cos it's your finish time.

The cunts expected us to just work overtime whenever they want us too. Not realising that postmen would be too knackered to want overtime after their rounds had been increased under modernisation from 3.5 hour delivery spans, to 5 hour delivery spans, and factor in that deliveries now start at 9.30, so we're walking in the hottest part of the day. We used to start out on delivery at about 8, be finished by half 11, before it got too hot in the summer, in those days people didn't mind doing half an hour of lapsing.

I didn't know that you also start later now. I knew that my post didn't turn up til at least midday these days, but I thought that was cus they'd lengthened the rounds, but it seems they've done both... No wonder the postie is getting his doors mixed up and doesn't look very happy these days. If I order something that needs signing for that always gets delivered on time, and they usually bring the rest of my post with it, so maybe I should try and force them to bring my post along lol.
