Sorry, I misplaced my list of whose parents are or are not alive on BL. Is it as bad as telling someone less than half your age to die several times on their birthday when they'd already almost died twice that year I wonder? You have lost any right you ever had to feel hurt by anything I say.

By all means feel as hurt as you like, just don't expect me to give the slightest shit when you try and guilt trip me for saying similar things back to you. Out of interest were you making a point or did you mean that?

And, out of interest, I wouldn't give a fuck if you died today/tomorrow/this week/last week, whenever. I don't know you at all, you're just some twat from the internet that i don't like very much at all.

I know you don't but for some reason SHM thinks he has earnt the right from me to tread on egg shells whenever I engage with him. There's a difference between not caring and wishing death on people who have been exceedingly close to it. I'm not particularly bothered whether people care about me on here, I have friends and family for that. That's why I don't come on here on a near weakly basis crying about poor wittle old me with my hips and the fact I might not be able to push pieces of paper through metal holes for a living anymore...

It's true, I know nobody gives a fuck. But it's not just me they don't give a fuck about, it's everyone. It took everyone on here a good fucking year to write a letter to shambles when he could have been dead. There was much talk of driving over to see him but it never materialised. Like I said before, talk is cheap, and it's all wankers like yourself give. More fool you if you think anyone actually cares about you on here, beyond giving you the cursory "poor MM, <3". I used to fall into the trap of thinking people cared on here, but then I saw what this place did to chinup, and well, now I know how much everyone really cares.

And I know there are one or two who genuinely give a fuck about me.

I'm not speaking for everyone, i'm speaking for myself. I know there are a few posters on here who do actually care, who will link word with action. But they are few and far between.

erm, like I said, defensive. it was a constructive post. I like you. [edit] actually I've learned to like you, by altering my approach to you [/edit]. I like people with a strong sense of character, regardless of whether I agree with their political or social viewpoints.

I have concluded on nothing solid politically. I have also mentioned that to you before. The only issue I can honestly, hand on heart say I've concluded on is how I view 'humans'. the rest is up for grabs. I didn't even vote in the last election because i felt completely disenfranchised

Well you say that your views on things change, but nothing we have ever discussed has resulted in you changing your viewpoint, and that is what I am basing my opinion on.

Reading that back to yourself, do you honestly wonder where the comment about you perceiving yourself to be all seeing/all knowing and a more rounded character than anyone you are debating with, comes from? We have been over this countless times before and it's pointless. I have seen zero evidence that you are currently capable of or have recently changed your opinion on anything. If you really did chop and change your viewpoints as you claim I wouldn't be able to pick up a Guardian and accurately predict what your opinion on any given topic would be.

Furthermore, you are saying I am not in a position to say you never change your opinion and that you are entrenched. Yet you said the exact same thing to me, and to top it all off made some wild unfounded claim that you and everyone who agrees with you must have a much better self-awareness, as if someone couldn't possibly be looking at the same society and world and come to different conclusions. If you were really interested in a search for truth you wouldn't only engage with people on topics who agree whole heartedly with you.

[edit]I mean, I am the only person you level these criticisms at. So what do I have to do to evade the criticism that "I lack self awareness"? The only thing that I can think would change that view you have of me would be to make my viewpoints uniform with yours, because you don't say such things to anyone who is on the same political spectrum; Do you?
