Surely it's just an age thing over there? I've noticed a lot of Americans get into the drug scene about 5 years before we normally do. Most people flirt with a bit of pot or maybe some ecstasy, but for some reason around 9% of school age teens have tried crack or coke in America, and like 4% have tried smack. That would be a national issue here if that were the case.

Must of cost you a fortune though right? The US healthcare system over prescribes because it = more profits not much more to it.

Yes, I believe ADD/ADHD exist. Yes, I believe that plenty of people are prescribed stimulants and they simply conned a doctor out of the script....but not every American is a doctor-shopper.

Just googling ADHD and DIET, it is quite widely regarded that changing your diet can improve things greatly...............

As we know the US and UK has a bit of an issue with processed foods. Fuck it, its easier to pop a few pills than to stop eating shite.

Exactly here they would of given you some codeine at best, would of only cost you a £7 though less depending on circumstances. The practice of over prescription of meds just means that the pharma companies make eye watering profits and middle class America gets an addiction to scripts, which of course just means more profit.

Isn't a poor diet sort of a marker of either a parent who is too busy to parent properly, or just an outright shit parent, any way? Both of which are going to result in children with lower attention spans and less impulse control?

There was nothing I could have said, being on the opposing side of your argument, that didn't confirm your statement. It's like me saying that those in favour of more scripting don't view it with enough suspicion, it's a pointless argument that is easily self fulfilling and proves nothing. You seem to be of the opinion that over prescriping amphetamines to children is preferable to under prescribing them.

lol you always seem to suddenly pull away from the thread topic and ambush Sam with a psychological deconstruction of his own post, identifying any recurring behavioural traits, leading up to a brief summary of how his post is symptomatic of some shamefully deep rooted personal issues usually revolving around him being emotionally insecure. ^Indeed it does, M S B Did I mention that my clonazepam script costs me $8 (5.15 GBP) a month (because I have insurance). A friend of mine had the same script and hers was only $0.70 (0.45 GBP) a month. However, if you don't have insurance, good luck getting medical care. In the end, it is about money.

i strongly concur.

there are more shit parents now. I have no stats to back this up, but im sure we can all see it with our very eyes. Shit parenting cascades from generation to generation, getting worse with each step. This results in more poorly behaved kids who are fed shite by their shite parents who also eat shite .

I was happy to discuss the issue at hand, but Sams flaws once again got in the way. You will notice that I did not start the thread topic pulling away (he did)... you obviously talk in clearly defined topics in real life any way right? What's the matter, is he crying over in the admin part of BL again or what? Pretty please Albion, step in for me so I can try and keep my coveted bigger man badge?

UK is no better, I recall a few years ago back when I was in school being told about 'ecstacy flashbacks' and how a pilot had one whilst flying and nearly crashed the plane. It's even worse to misinform than not inform in my opinion.
