Im now on the side of the many bluelighters that talk down fent iv, after having quite an experience myself (not hospital caliber dont worry).
I was just curious if anybody has any info on the kinda reaction one would have from improperly filtering extracted fent. I had it in alcohol so Im really just worried about micro particles of the glue. Lets say I cooked some and ran it through two cotton balls. Could there be any wierdness left? Or rather, enough to give me a reaction? If so what kind?
Or maybe i just experienced my first OD *idiot* x/
(Im normally -really- safe with my drugs, and as embarrassing as it is to admit I figured it better to ask and see what the deal was...)
 
also, fentanyl should only be abused if there really is nothing else. of all strong opioid analgesics it's both the least fun and the most dangerous.

ive read the whole fent extraction thread and actually i was the last poster in it...
nobody answered my questions then... now after my painful horrible mistake im still just trying to find out what happened to me..
i appreciate what youre saying but i already know both of those things..

Edit: Im asking specifically if anyone is educated enough to tell me the symptoms of accidentally iving the glue or other particulate matter

Fentanyl should never be abused even if there is nothing else. It should not be used at all by anyone not prescribed it.

i get it guys, i agree. screw the stuff. it was a mistake.
... so i must assume nobody knows the answer to my question. Was just trying to do some HR by figuring out if I ODd or did some serious damage of some sort.

Well ... arrrgh I hate admitting it cause like I said I try/pride myself on safe practices and measured everything and such buuut:
about 30mins~ in I began shaking uncontrollably, vomiting, and in about an hour reached a fever of 103.5~.
Fair enuf to say it scared me away from the stuff... but I always thought ODs were just like a mega nod u never wake up from. Or if you do its a vomit party that you werent invited to and u turn blue and all that jazz. As Ive never had it happen to me before I had no idea what Id done wrong.

Kinda bums me out to get slapped on the wrist when I come here for HR and to hopefully have others see this and decide not to try fent at all, thanks for actually addressing my problem tricomb btw :D
 
No I wasnt but I had a loved one watching me incase it got too bad.
Ok well... Now that I know it prolly wasnt poorly filtered micro particles of shit I feel much better... er I guess lol.
and yes I agree and dont you know it was a slap on the wrist times a thousand, but if this thread scares away others it was worth the cost of my shame posting it here i suppose, lol.

I would check with your local needle exchange. It's availability varies by state law, it's actually considered "illegal" in most circumstances to hand it out but it is done frequently despite this.
 
OP, I know for a fact that people in Massachusetts have access to narcan...its some kind of training course/certification. Other states, as TRI mentioned, frown upon its dispense to the public at large but many people can acquire it through or from people related to/working for the needle exchange programs.

Ah this too is exactly what kinda input i was looking for.
Now how long do those symptoms last? my fever broke overnight, and i really didnt think, with such a small dosage (not first attempt) (altho i could believe it) that it was an OD. I know the drug is finicky as all hell but severe muscle spasms (like cant get off the couch) and ~103+ fever...
?? closer to cotton fever or opioid w/d?

edit: possibly from w/d (quit after incident) but fever continued to fluctuate as low as 97 and to over 100 for about a day 1/2

Yea the fever definitely sounds like you had some sort of bacteria in your shot.
An OD shouldn't give you a fever. Symptoms shouldn't last too long, but it would be dependent on what kind of bacteria and/or bacterial toxin it was.
 
Hm, now were getting somehwhere. Just didnt seem very OD

Prep: Well I had my fent in some 1/4 tequila 3/4 bottled water, but could see little particles of the glue floating in it. So then I ran it through a cotton ball twice (in a clean spoon, clean everything i believe). I totally thought it was just a bacteria too at first (or something crazy!... shakes freak me oooout) but the fever didnt start for about an hour+ and broke in like 3-5 hours (not sure was trying to sleep).
Doesnt most bacteria having longer lasting effects?
Now in spite of my cleanlinesss I wont rule out bacteria. So Im wondering: that, Mega tiny glue, or cotton fever (which I know nothing about at all)?
