BDD Social/Information Booth v25 - Let's all eat some acid!

Saying hello to BDD, and BL as a whole. Feeling very good to be out of another hospitalization lasting about 9 days. I must say, however, the psychiatrist at the hospital was more than helpful, and paid heed to what I said, unlike so many other doctors filled with ignorance, uncaring, or both. I have dealt with this psychiatrist before, and this was the third time for this particular facility. He started me on a very low dose of Adderall XR yesterday, but having NO amphetamine tolerance whatsoever, I am quite positively stimulated, and my depressive symptoms seem to have lifted. I am worried, though, for amphetamines are rather neurotoxic, and I wish to keep them efficacious in providing helpful energy and mood lift, but I know I will end up taking them daily as they are written. The past two days, being on amphetamines, have been much better than the days prior, but I know of the infamous honeymoon period and rapid tolerance amphetamines attract.

But, I am going on, and just wanted to let BL know I am back from yet another stay at the wonderful psych ward, and see how everyone was doing.

Yeah, I just had that happen with my oxy script. Fill one at your normal place and run it through insurance if you have it. Fill the other at a mom and pop pharmacy and pay cash. My state has a database that feeds directly to the SBI that doctors can access. My doc does not look at it that much. If would be possible for them to look and see that I filled both, but both scripts would be from them, their mistake, not mine. That is the big risk. If I was questioned, I would probably just deny filling two, say it was a glitch or something, because I know thatthereisnoway in the world it will ever happen again!
 
In the UK, scripts are quite regulated. Printed out by the Doctor with the medication required on it, dosage and amount of medication. Doctor's surgery address, their signature and it's all printed on special paper which is made such that it's along the lines of tamper-proof and copy-proof, weird stuff.

Then, you have a "repeat" bit on the other side of it if your medication is on repeat, which the Doctor has to authorise, you can just tick your meds and give it to the receptionist at the surgery and pick it up the next day printed out and signed by a Doctor.

But yeah, like I said in another posts, the script/medication system in the USA is so different and (seemingly) open to abuse in America, it seems so easy to get medication it's incredible!

If I did get two scripts, like you said, I wouldn't use both. I'd use one, then use the other once I'd used the medication from the other one.

I don't know if you guys know, but in the UK, any doctor with access to a computer can access your medical records from ANYWHERE in the country, same with almost all pharmacies, so if you tried what TheLostBoys said, they'd just say:

"Excuse me sir, it seems you filled in this script at a pharmacy six hundred miles away for the exact same medication which is supposed to last you a month (or whatever) only a few days ago, we can't give you this".

It's all very connected and made so it's pretty much impossible to abuse here.
 
It's not completely open too abuse...and if you do abuse the system, you can get caught...I went to my rheumatologist's office today to request medical records for my SSI/disability application (I know SS requests and gets them themselves, but I wanted some for personal records) and schedule an appointment and after filling out a sheet updating my information, I went to go give it to the woman at the window and she was arguing with a man about how she couldn't fill his pain meds because the pharmacy sent her a print-out from his medicare insurance that he had been filling like 3 scripts a month from different doctors and he was filling it at different pharmacies...so, it's not completely abusable...

I personally wouldn't ever want to try doctor shopping or trying to fool the system...too much of a punishment legally AND medicinally as you fuck up your chances with ever getting proper treatment when you really need it...

Bombed and railed ~.45-.5 of bk-MDMA throughout the night. Can't sleep, still have ~200mg more...

I SHOULD HAVE saved more K... *sigh* I couldn't feel the last of mine.

Although, I do have a gabapentin script and a nice little collection of benzodiazepines.

I ate a quarter gram of methylone and an eighth of shrooms last night... 9am and still riding the shroom comedown... lovely trip.. just blazin bowls now... im wrecked yet sleep would be impossible... so here i sit in the morning sun, exhausted, nauseous, over stimulated, sleep deprived yet content and happy :)
 
Crazy fucking night. Excellent drugs, music and company but two of my friends collapsed in the club toilets. Paramedics, ambulance, bouncer calling us "junkie scum" and a trip to A+E. Not fun. Looks like they k-holed in the toilets, funny now really but fuck me... Good afterparty at mine once they recovered, 4-AcO-DMT is so beautiful but I ended up kinda traumatised from the whole affair and once I stopped tripping I went to bed with a lot of spliffs and nitrazepam. Oops. nAON just left and I am having more spliffs and etizolam :)

Hey all, had a pretty good weekend, the sunshine really picked up my mood, my Tai Chi teacher believes that the morning sunshine is one of the bets things for you so I got I've got out out in the sun a much a possible over the weekend.

Benzo taper is still on track and spent sometime with the family and got a few jobs done, nothing wild I'm afraid but actually manged to feel a little relaxed there on and off which is good going for me.

New job seems to be working out really well, so glad to be shot of the last place I don't think I realised just how much it was dragging me down , 11 years is enough for any one.

Watch them Benzos Effie, apparently they can become a bit of a habit if you don't watch yourself ;)
