Severely need a temporary anxiety fix. Just a few hours to a day at most. I'd get some diazepam from a friend but he's not a good enough friend that I can trust he won't lie about cutting it or something.

Anything? I don't want it to be impossibly dangerous like phenazepam. Something like phenibut. By the way does anyone know if phenibut has ever actually proven to be effective for anxiety? And yes I'm talking self medicating until I can get to therapy or something.

I'm fucking desperate enough that I'd go drive off a cliff into a lake/river if it made my anxiety stop for 5 minutes.

Phenibut works for some people while keeping their cognitive abilities intact, why don't you try that? It is very physically addicting, though, so try not to use it more than 2-3 times a week. You can check out Erowid for some experience reports - most are positive when used in a medicinal fashion.

Yeah, stay away from Phenazepam, Etizolam, all that stuff. Benzos will just make your anxiety worse once you're dependent on them, which is incredibly likely to happen if you are an extremely anxious person with a stash of benzos.

I tried phenibut for SA and GAD, it didnt do anything noticeable. As said above, benzos are jsut a bad idea longterm, but for very very shrot term one off treatment, something like etizolam could be helpfull. Personally I have used mxe (and other dissociatives) as an escape from my lingering anxiety when im alone, and dont have to interact with anyone. Apart from that, your best method is by far natural methods, its do able, ive done it :).

One that springs to mind is etizolam, although as ErgicMergic says, in the long run you're better off without acquiring a dependence to benzos if you suffer from persistent anxiety.

MXE is an interesting suggestion, it works wonders for some people, but it brings with it its own addiction risks, albeit more psychological and less physical.

Does phenibut give you any kind of a buzzy, stoney, or otherwise mind-altered feeling other than being happy or content?

Probably the best anxiolysis in life you will find is when the perfect balance of diet and exercise is achieved.

If you are feeling anxious, you should probably exercise more, and should monitor intake of stress triggers like artificial sweetners, caffeine, high fructose corn syrup, GMO crap.

There's no RC out there that will solve problems in your life, sorry.

Others have reported a sense of wellbeing, but phenibut did literally nothing for me. I took more and more to the point that It made me feel very dizzy and disoritented, I then threwup and slept for ages, and never tried it again.

Also, defintiely stay away from caffeine, you wouldnt believe how much that helps.

speaking of caffeine, here's a nice, short anecdote for no reason: Up until a few months ago I had a super high tolerance to caffeine where any large amount wouldn't affect me at all. Then one day for no reason I drank 4 espressos (400+? mg caffeine, good quality espresso) and ever since then when I drink even a small amount of regular, crappy, store-brand coffee I feel like I just did a few kilos of meth at once. I don't know why that happened. It's weird. It seems like the high amount of caffeine would make you even more tolerant. Did the opposite.

Anyway. Thanks I'll look into phenibut.

I heard kanna is good for anxiety and depression, wanna try it myself.. think they have it over at *snip* no source discussion

THIS x10 !!!!

people dont realize how much diet and exercise effect your brain chemistry. ( especially diet )

using benzos to treat anxiety is like using a blindfold to hide your cars dents. Sure you can cover it for now but it dosnt fix the root of the problem.

kratom. it's addictive but not hugely so as it doesn't get you very high. it is physically (you'll get dopesick) and mentally addictive though if used long term.

It's also pretty much an opiate. I wouldn't do heroin to get away from anxiety for 97 minutes, no reason to do any other opiate.

That's good news. A lot of people use opiates to self medicate anxiety, which is a terrible choice IMO. Kratom contains 2 major opioid alkaloids, one of which (7-OH) can be quite euphoric if you have a low tolerance to opiates. It also contains yohimbine-like alkaloids that can cause physical anxiety and panic attacks in some people by raising levels of Norepinephrine.

So, try out diet and exercise, as noted, along with proper minerals (chelated Magnesium has been fantastic for me for totally eliminating the physical aspect of panic attacks, and Melatonin at night helps me wake up refreshed, and it has minor GABA activity and powerful antioxidant properties as well). Also, add fish oil capsules, potassium, and a super B complex w/ C, all great for making you chill.

A good diet contains 40g whole grains, 30-40g lean protein, and 10-20g good fats (like olive oil or nuts), eaten every 4-6 hours, even if you're not hungry.

If you are constantly physically anxious (racing heart, panic attacks, sweating, nausea, blushing), ask a doctor to script you a low dose of a beta blocker, as they completely eliminate all symptoms of physical anxiety, while being non-addictive and effective for long periods of time. Kava Kava tincture (in the glass bottles) and 200-400mg L-Theanine could definitely be useful as well if your benzo/GABAergic tolerance isn't too high.

Whenever you find yourself stressing, just ask yourself, "will this shit even matter a year from now?" And if you find yourself going in to a panic attack, just concentrate on breathing properly, it is truly amazing how much power we have over our own bodily reactions.

Good luck, man! We're here for you whenever you need us :)

Why not try something herbal like valerian root? Idk if you get these where you live, but theres these drinks called Marley's Mellow Mood with a picture of bob marley on the can. They contain valerian, melatonin and a couple other herbal anxiolitics which I cant recall right now. I havnt used it to combat anxiety, but Im sure it might help. Idk if it would work for you though because it sounds like you're a pretty anxious person and it might just make you a bit sleepy. Its worth a shot though, they can be found in most convenience stores nowadays, well at least where I live.

Valerian root makes me so sleepy. I've slept for 12-14 hours on 1200mg whole root Valerian capsules, with a hell of a hangover. I think it has to do with Valerenic acid's agonism of the 5-HT5A receptor, which makes you very sleepy. Kava Kava and L-Theanine are better for daytime anxiety relief.

You'd have to be pretty hardcore to cut IOP diazepam powder. It seriously wouldn't be worth anyone's time.
