Hey , so its my first time going to be shooting and I don't know where to get a syringe.. I would guess you could get them at any pharmacy such as walmart, shop rite, stop n shop, weis, etc. or somewhere in those big stores. But I dont know, and I dunno where to look :/

I would think they would be readily avalible because of people that need insulin, and other medicine that require a syringe.

Also, besides that.. I can either just look this up in another thread or ask here.. what is the PROPER way to shoot it? I am pretty sure I would know what to do and it is not that hard, i have gotten blood taken a ton of times , everytime i go to the doctors and i see how she does it eerytime, and i have a big vein in my right arm. I also remember she ties something on the top of my bicep and then tells me to squeeze my hand a few times.

So i dont think it can be that hard, but what is the proper way?

This threads gonna get closed we can't help you find a source for anything sorry.

As tho how to do it use the search button on the top right search for something like "proper IV technique"... big threads here either have "Mega thread" or "big and dandy" in it so include that in your search you'll find it.. I'd get it for you but I'm at work and navigation on my phone is a pain in the ass

Good luck ... ::drum rolls impending closure of thread"::

Yes just try any pharmacy and if that doesn't work ask your dealer as some dealers often sell them. But please be careful buying needles on the street cause u never know, hopefully u trust the guy. I would def say just dont even pick the needle up in the first place but you'll do what u want so... BE CAREFUL as ur about to enter a dark realm where theres often no return. Good luck.

I go to the local pharmacy and ask for short tip ultra thin insulin syringes.. get long tip if you aren't tying off but I'd suggest to and to get short tip

As for how to do it tie off with a belt or whatever I used to use rubber bands.. hit ur vein and make sure u pull back the syringe and draw blood before pushing down. This is called registering and otI makes sure youreu actually onI the vein. It should NOT hurt/sting, if it does you're missing and you immidately need to stop and try again if you miss Luke this you'll have a big bump on your arm

Editt- oh and don't stay tied off after injecting immediately undo the belt its bad for you to continue stopping bloodflow after shooting

Edit. 2- alot of places by me won't sell syringes unless you get insullin there. Before I've called "my mom" who was actually a friend and asked what kind she needs again cuz I look really young so its totally believable then. At the end of the convo be like oh sorry I forgot you were there ill let u go that way it sounds like she's busy doing something and can't be bothered to talk to pharmacist if they'd want to

1) forgot to mention to undo the tie after you register but before you push down.
2) I would try to avoid using a tie altogether if you have easily visible veins
3) register, shoot half the shot, then re-register to make sure your still in, then finish the shot.

4) already told him how to find a Mega thread so gave him a dumbed down version of how to do it I'm not going over every step when its already on here a thousand places.

31 gauge. 1 CC. Short tip. Any pharmacy. Bring ID. Also say INSULIN syringes. It's just a psychological thing makes it look like you need it for insulin ya know? It's under 4 bucks for a bag of 10 BD (the most common) and some pharmacys charge a dollar each for mono. brand ons. Which are the best. Mad smooth. You got to go to the counter where the prescription are dropped and picked up at.

Please have someone with you if you are going to IV. If you overdose alone, there is nothing you can do about it if you are unconscious a minute later.

What drug are you going to IV, and what is your tolerance to this drug (and what is your current ROA)? Look up your states laws on selling syringes at pharmacies. Some states are a lot easier to get syringes in, either from pharmacies, needle exchanges, or both.

I urge you to reconsider this decision. Nobody switches to IVing and later down the road thinks it was a good decision.

In the hopes that perhaps you can be persuaded, take a look at this before you decide to go down this path.

And as for correct technique follow the link mr.scagnattie posted, it is very helpful.

As for where to get a syringe, it really depends on what state you live in. Here in NY, you can walk into almost every pharmacy (all of the big chains), and buy them with no hassle. A few mom and pop shops might ask for a prescription, as I believe they need to fill out some paper work in order to sell them OTC, and I've run across a few places that never got that done.

Be safe, be clean.

maybe it was a sign from above or a signal of some sort, but i went to 6 pharmacies and none of them would sell me any without a prescription.

I told them my mom had sent me out to go and insulin syringes for her because she has diabetes and they all either looked up and saw she never got insulin or needles before, told me to tell her to call the doctor, say i needed a prescription to buy syringes. There was really nothing better I could say or I could go with and tell them to ask, even my good talking and convincing skills of saying she ran out and needs a few for the weekend until she could call the doctor.

So maybe it was a good thing, and a sign I shouldn't do it , and today was the last day I was going to do it and the last I had and I am stopping until .. who knows again when. Last time it was over half a year

I live in NJ btw, i guess thats the law.

Well would you rather me go out and use a dirty one because i cant find one?

We don't mind helping people out here.. in fact thats the point of this forum. But 'where do I get a needle' is common sense. Do you think the answer might be Foot Locker or Best Buy? Go to any chain pharmacy or order them online. I almost feel like you should not be shooting if you can't even do some google searches and educate your self.

As to "how do I do it", again, you need to educate your self. You need to read read read because even a 1 page essay is not enough knowledge you have before injecting drugs into your arm. This topic has been covered time and time again. It is really a difficult thing to learn if you dont have someon experienced to show you.

Get a 29g 1/2" 1cc needles, and spend a night educating your self before trying to shoot.

Yeah NJ will not sell pins w/o a script... but in NJ you have hella syringe exchanges. Jersey City Paterson Newark AC all have exchanges where you can walk out with a box of 100 free pins. Personally I buy mine in NY where they have a 10pin limit

I know everyone's already told you this but please don't go sourcing needles. I can't think of a single person who has lived and not regretted it.

Google is your friend. Some answers are going to be better and certainly quicker if looked on google than here. You can buy them over the internet, over the pharmacy counter and many/most/all? states? As far as which ones, etc...google it kiddo.
