After crashing countless times and having to lay awake for hours, and reassemble my consciousness into something resembling a human mind, i got the bright idea to ask my doc for something to help with anxiety and insomnia simultaneously. I've been looking into different benzos, and temazepam and clonazepam seem to be the most well rounded (as in equally anxiolytic, sedating, and euphoric). What say you, OD? What would be the best for my purpose?

My personal go-to for crashes is etizolam (thienodiazepine) since it's the easiest for me to get hold off. It's not a one hit KO-er though.

Something like xanax would be ideal if you're looking to knock yourself out. Etizolam does still help get you in the mood to sleep, though.

i would say clonazepam because of its time of effects and its half life being just right, longer than alprazolam and lorazepam but shorter than diazepams 200hr metabolite and librium is only a pro drug for diazepam i believe.. phenazepam would also work.. this is all my .02 tho because i am biased cuz i love clonazepam and phenazepam lol

EDIT: also i have never tried temazepam

what do you think of temazepam though? i hear it's the most euphoric benzo, and is a one hit KO, which is kind of a must for me, does anyone have experience with it?

You shouldn't be concerned about the euphoria, just the sedation. Picking up a benzo habit would be stupid.

benzodiazepines lack true euphoria.

In order of least to most severe comedown, I would use: Diazepam or Temazepam --> Alprazolam --> Triazolam

4 etizolams under my tongue works fine for me when I wanna sleep on a stim or end a trip, cheap and easy to get hold of too with a short half life.

god dammit i have the only doctor in town who actually cares if i get hooked on benzos or not, so i got put on seraquel 25 mgs. any good for stim crashes or no?

Yes, quetiapine (seroquel) will knock you out effectively at the end of a stimulant bender. If it doesn't (which I would be very surprised with), it will greatly reduce anxiety and racing, paranoid thoughts. It certainly knocks me out after smoking methamphetamine, so long as I have not smoked any for at least 6 hours, which I think is reasonable. I only need 25mg...

If you can get benzos, I recommend clonazepam ; the effective duration is longer than temazepam, and is nicely muscle relaxing, anxiolytic, and hypnotic. The hypnotic effects peaks at 2 hours after ingestion for me. I have tried temazepam, so I can make a real comparison.
Sometimes benzos fail to knock me out after smoking meth (I don't take any DNRIs like methylphenidate as they give me tremendous anxiety and almost complete speech loss; yes, weird side-effect, and it's horrible, so I stay away), but they do at least let me lie in the dark really relaxed and not caring i'm still awake - this leaves me feeling at least semi-rested.

Quetiapine is much more effective at actually knocking me out. If you want sleep, don't be disappointed you got quetiapine.
Note that I am not a heavy stimulant user, only occasional, so maybe this all changes if you are - however I have heard similar results from other heavy [ex-]stimulant users. YMMV :)

just know that 25mg is a rather low dose since they make tablets up to 400mg (which i have been scripted for bipolar disorder but hated it and have been on 20mg (much more potent mg for mg) Zyprexa for at least 6 years and am completely happy)
But if Seroquell works for your needs, it is good enough right?

A hypnotic is always best for a stimulant comedown because they kick in faster, are stronger/more intense at peak levels, they reach peak levels quicker, and they can actually knock you out.

Temazepam is great and in my experience, the best. Nitrazepam and triazolam are also great. Flunitrazepam and lormetazepam are other good ones. Since you're in the USA, I know that nitrazepam, flunitrazepam, and lormetazepam are out of the question for you. So your best options are temazepam and triazolam, and maybe estazolam.

If those are inaccessible to you then go with diazepam. If you can't get a hold of any of them then alprazolam, clonazepam, or lorazepam can do the trick (but in slightly higher doses than the recommended).

Etizolam is the shit. Probably my favorite benzo. It makes the stim crash go away without making me feel fucked up from the drowsiness.

Seroquel IMO sucks, In doses below 100mg it is just an anti-histamine, which will lose it's sedating properties just like DPH or doxylamine etc.
I really dislike quetiapine, and would not recommend it for crashes unless absolutely nothing else is available.

Only time's I've used seroquel was after a 96 hour MDMA binge, and had left my haloperidol at home.

There's multiple benzos that are effective for stim crashes.

Temazepam is a VERY rapid-acting hypnotic, anxiolytic with strong muscle relaxant properties, often produces euphoria, and a fairly long duration; out of my picks this is the ideal benzo for this and the most sedating.
Sublingually administrated clonazepam is highly potent has a rapid onset, muscle relaxant properties, and a significantly long duration of action. Diazepam is rapid-acting (orally, but esp sublingually) anxiolytic, strongest muscle relaxant properties, and generally produces heavier sedation in comparison to most anxiolytic benzos.

Kokaino listed some benzos I've yet to try (hopefully someday!), but from I've read of them, they seem as though they would be even more effective for a stim come down.

I think the less you use benzos the better they will be for use for stim comedowns. It also means a lower dose will work better for you. Z drugs are quite good also and they only last 6 hours so you don't end up with a hangover from both the sleeping pill and the stim in the morning.

Temazepam is not short acting, it is intermediate acting benzo. I use temazepam in place of a longer acting hypnotic because it is long enough to keep me asleep through the night but not so long-acting that I wake up with a hangover (like with flurazepam or diazepam).

Diazepam is also, not a short acting benzodiazepine. It is very long acting and it's active metabolites have a half life of 200+ hours.

Also, no benzos produce true euphoria, as I mentioned earlier, the closest thing to pseudoeuphoria would come from flunitrazepam, temazepam for some people (not me :( ), and lormetazepam.

Lorazepam or klonopin work best for me.

But if you have access, GHB will slow your heart rate down, cool you and lower blood pressure as well as bring back the euphoria at normal doses. It's used for worst-case scenario insomnia. Taking over 3grams is a guaranteed KO with no loss of memory and a short half life so that you do not wake up still sedated. The experience of taking it to fall asleep after a night of rolling is pleasant with a clear head the entire way through.
