Ketamine Nat Geo drugs inc documentary

That documentary really hit home for me. I certainly could have been either one of those people in it. Thankfully.....I still have my bladder, but damn close to not. I'm sure my kidneys are fucked though. :(

Happily put that addiction behind me <3

It did convey the addiction side of things very well, but I'm not so sure it showed why people really use it. When I do K I tend to but about 3-7gs, binge til it's done, then I feel amazing for a week or so after (until I ruin the afterglow with excessive drinking), and probably not touch it for another 4-6 weeks anyway. It's been a couple of months since I've seen any now with this drought in the UK.

I did find it interesting though learning about the K scene in Canada etc and the bit with Indian customs. The UK guy with the fucked bladder is not uncommon here. In the likes of London, Brighton, Bristol in squats I've heard of people doing 8g's+ a day not being too uncommon. Kids of 19 pissing through a catheter for life. There is definately a dark side to Ketamine, even though it's my favorite drug I know this.

Documentary was ok, I just don't think it really showed why these people got into it in the first place.

I feel like all of the NatGeo documentaries on the various drugs portrayed them in a more negative light. I wish there was a more unbiased source of information for the general public.

All NatGeo drug inc. documentaries I have seen are clearly prejudicial, conservative and inaccurate with a lot of data. A crock of shit, indeed.

I saw one on psychedelics, it portrayed ayahuasca (sacred use of dmt) in a very fair way, showing it can be used under control, with a shaman or something, and it can help people overcome their traumas...

But the second half of the episode was so partial and biased about the dangers of lsd that I remembered it's still a tv show.

i've been watching these with interest. tbh they don't seem very biased.

^re: the lsd thing, i guess you mean the cop who absorbed 1000hits (orwhatever) at once, i guess to any lsd user this is obviously a very bad idea and not suprising the poor dude got fucked up, this does require a level of intelligence to understand that is not really found in large groups of people.

Personally all the Drugs Inc documentaries I've seen so far did seem rather biased and full of inaccuracies and mistakes, so I'm probably giving this one a miss, but I might check out the first half or so. I noticed that with these the first halves of the documentaries seem to be more fair and interesting, mostly because they tend to show the positive side and why people use them in the first half, and then go to the "Oh no but it's evil and look how many lives it's ruined" in the second half.

Exactly.

But also, if the cop absorbed 1000 hits and he's still alive talking about it, that says something. If he had absorbed 1000 doses of heroin, he wouldn't survive to tell the story.

that whole '1000 doses' thing sounded like he just kind of made it up, how would he accurately know how many doses it was? sounded like fear mongering to me.

I also just don't understand how someone with a ketamine addiction can let it get that bad. Like, cig smokers I can understand because cancer sometimes doesn't have physical symptoms and can take a very long time to develope, but if I didn so much K I needed a catheter to piss...holy shit that would definitely be a wake up call

I know people who have had bladder surgery and the addiction is so strong they keep doing it. I've had multiple k cramps and i gotta say darkest times i've ever had, unreal pain.

damn dude, that's scary. Hope you are't still abusing K! Wish you the best of luck

looks like youtube removed this :X
any idea where I can download this documentary ?

I still do it although not quite as much as I did say a year ago. I was doing up to 5 grams a day and just getting wrecked. Wake up, bump, drive to school and do another bump. Break time mmm bump.

Also K cramps really are that bad, I've only had them twice and never want to experience those again unless I have a serious stash of really strong opiates to kill the pain. The second time it happened I drove myself to the hospital and got shot up with morphine. 8 hours after they still came back. I was in agony for 3 days. I didn't touch it for a while after that.
