Why do i keep hearing, on the streets, that you can not overdose on meth. This is completely false. You can overdose on meth. It is dangerous.

Has anyone ever heard that you can not overdose on meth?Wth

I know. Well i have heard from a lot of different crowds this same statement. "meth isnt that dangerous, you can not od on it" the first time i heard it from a group of people, i was like wtf?? But then yesterday from a conpletely different group miles away they were saying the exact same thing.

I do not know why someone is speading the rumor, but i hope someone who believes that lie can read this thread and know the truth.
 
Meth is probably one of the easier drugs to OD on. What you've heard is total bullshit...Direct anyone who thinks otherwise toward bluelight please.

Seriously show them relevant info on bluelight or erowid. They can't argue with simple facts.

Route of administration and your genetics/health is everything.
You can die injecting just about anything. Even THC.

I've heard smoking it is less dangerous than taking it orally or injecting it.
 
There is no naloxone for methamphetamine. No antidote. It's super dangerous and cardiac problems usually ensue.

Smoking it is for sure not safer than oral administration.
 
^ Smoking ought to be inherently worse for you than the oral route for any drug, but we've all seen what smoking methamphetamine does to a person's face and especially teeth.

Wouldn't the naloxone equivalent be something like valium/other benzo?
 
No, if you truly overdose on meth there is no "undo" button on the receptors like naloxone and opiates.

I completely disagree with those saying smoking is more dangerous. For long term damage and addiction? Yes, smoking is more harmful than oral, but for short-term overdosing?

While smoking it, the user is probably going to know their limits and quit twisting before a dangerous dose. If they take their whole bag of dope and eat it, then by the time they realize they've overdosed it's too late to quit.
 
You have a point with the oral dosing. Do many people dose street meth orally? Desoxyn is a different matter.
 
My friend nearly died from taking a high dose meth pill from a dealer.

Why did he take it orally? Because he didn't want to get addicted.

Anyway, he lost feeling in his legs and his extremities began turning blue and it was definitely time to visit a hospital. Fortunately the dose was not high enough to be untreatable by lorazepam.
 
I've never understood how people can stand getting "higher and higher" on stimulants to the point where it becomes nearly lethal. After my heart rate reaches about 140, I start to have pretty severe anxiety.
 
Urge to redose overrides any sense of self preservation, I find. It's ludicrous, and so self-loathing when I do it...

The worst roa of meth to me is smoking it. After smoking it you get immediate problems mouth sores swelling pain and sore throat and a terrible painful cough and damage toyour lungs, even asthma symptoms..

I feel like if you take the right amont iv is safer than smoking... Not much tho

Me too!!! Omg i started to freak out thinkin i was havig a heart attack for six hours ugh.... As soon as im aware of my heart rate...
